EA announces plans for a second open beta test for Battlefield Hardline,
saying this round of testing of the crime-fighting installment in the shooter
series will cover all the game's target platforms.
This page offers
details, though when the testing gets underway and how to ensure participation
are not among them. However, they do stress that they "want you to play this
beta to death." The news is accompanied by
some
new screenshots, and this explanation: The second Battlefield
Hardline beta will be open to all players on all platforms – PC, Xbox One, Xbox
360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
Bust out those new gadgets, form new strategies and showcase your skills on two
different maps and modes. First, take a test drive of Hotwire, an all-new mode
coming to Battlefield focused on combining all-out warfare with all-out speed.
This is how you introduce yourself to the new flavor Visceral Games is bringing
to Battlefield with Battlefield Hardline. Or you can go all-out in 64-player
cops and criminals warfare in the oldie but goodie, Conquest.
While it's just a taste of the whole game, there won't be a cap on the max
progression level so whether you’re busting criminals or fleeing the cops,
unlock away. The beta is your shot to test the different classes, toy with
different gadgets, and find your crew to take down your foes.
Paradox Interactive announces March 26th is the new official worldwide release

they will celebrate the news with a livestream of the game on

our fans for being so engaged with the game’s development – and for giving us
the time to implement their suggestions and ensure Pillars of Eternity is a game
we can be proud of. We’ve used that time well, and the results will be worth the
wait. The end is finally in sight, and our journey is nearly complete – at which
point yours can begin." Here's more on tomorrow's broadcast: As the game

The
Total War Center Forums have a post from a user named StormOfRazors who
received an early copy of a book called The Art of Total War, which shows
off the visuals created over the years for the strategy franchise (thanks
IncGamers). This seems to accidentally spill some beans about the future of
the series, as it contains references to an unannounced game called Total
War: WARHAMMER, a concept which dovetails nicely with the collaboration
between Creative Assembly and Games Workshop announced
a bit over a year ago.
The post includes pictures to help confirm the news, so if this is a hoax, it is
particularly elaborate. The reference is brief, but clear. Here it is: "We're
also experimenting with this in the mobile space, with Total War: KINGDOM, and
taking the series to a fantasy setting with Total War: WARHAMMER."

for PC, Mac, and Linux." Here's a rundown on release plans: The Book of

numerous other platforms, as well as a classic boxed version. As a special

Mystery solved. I mentioned last week finding ball bearings on the kitchen floor
with no apparent source. It turns out the first place I checked was actually
correct, as a caster on the rolling island in the kitchen eventually failed in
an explosion of the remaining ball bearings, so there was a problem there that
escaped my initial investigation. On closer look, it's no surprise this broke,
as it was pretty shoddy, and the remaining wheels were already showing signs of
the kind of metal fatigue that killed this one. Home Depot only carried threaded
casters with ¼" bolts, but the ones I need to replace have 3/8" bolts, so I'll
have to order them online, but at least it looks like it will be easy enough to
find replacements to get things rolling again.
