This weekend's CitzenCon spurred a jump in crowdfunding for Star Citizen, which has warped past the $57 million mark and is fast approaching $58 million. Roberts Space Industries' funding timeline shows their upcoming space combat game attracted well over a million dollars in pledges between October 10th and 11th. There's also a new trailer online the game taken from the live stream from the convention (thanks Polygon). Word is: "This footage was pulled from the Twitch live stream from Citizen Con 2014. It features an early look at what Chris Roberts has envisioned for the player experience in the persistent universe (i.e. the final game), including landing planetside."
