The
Classificação Indicativa website has a classification to sell a PC edition
of Assassin's Creed Rogue, the upcoming AC game. There's nothing much
else there besides word (in Portuguese) that this is not recommended for those
under 16. This follows recent
indications that a PC edition of the console installment in the series is
possible. Thanks

Battlefield Hardline will break from tradition set by previous
installments in the series by functioning properly at launch,
Visceral tells Game Revolution (thanks
MP1st). Here's what Visceral Games creative director Ian Milham told them
about the police shooter at the Tokyo Game Show: What you're basically
asking is, 'Is you're game going to work?' and the answer is yes, it's gonna
work. We actually started on this more than a year before Battlefield 4 came
out. We've been working with the DICE guys for a long time; some of our
engineering work is actually in Battlefield 4 and things they've been doing
since then. It's in pretty great shape now and all that work is gonna come into
what we're doing.
We already had one very successful beta, we're going to have another beta on
every platform we ship on. We take shipping a working game pretty seriously. So,
yes, the game will work.
The
GFK Chart-Track list of the 20 bestselling full-prices PC games in the U.K.
for the week ending September 27th is online, showing The Sims 4
retaining the top position, while FIFA 15 enters the chart at number two,
and Stronghold Crusader II debuts at number five. On the
all platforms top 40 FIFA 15 kicks even more ass, debuting at number one.
Here's an overview:
The prelude to the all-important Q4 season begins in earnest this week
with the ‘FIFA 15’ onslaught.
EA’s latest FIFA is the 21st in the main series, dating back to 1993 with FIFA
International Soccer on Sega’s Megadrive (list excludes World
Cup/Street/Management spinoffs). ‘FIFA 15’ accounts for 80% of all entertainment
software units this week and a whopping 87% of revenue. Unlike last year, ‘FIFA
15’ debuts on 8 formats simulataneously - there are no more PS2/PSP versions
this year and the later PS4/XO releases from ‘FIFA 14’ now arrive alongside all
other versions.
Consequently, GfK Chart-Track total UK market estimates are that ‘FIFA 15’ is
+15% units / +23% revenue over ‘FIFA 14’ (weeks 39 compared). If you align all
the week 1 sales, so adding in week47/2013 PS4/XO sales (both Gen 8 versions
launched in that week) then ‘FIFA 15’ is actually around the same in units and
+6% in revenue. Finally, ‘FIFA 15’ Gen 8 versions (PS4/XO) account for 54% of
sales units, with Gen 7 (360/PS3) holding a still considerable 45%. There were a
few other new releases this week but the only one to make the Top 40 is
Nintendo’s 3DS RPG adventure ‘Fantasy Life’ at No8 which is developed by Level
5, best known for the Professor Layton series.
Even with the high quality series the cable networks have brought to raise the
standards of television over recent years, most of them still seem pretty ready
to go by their final seasons... I'm finding Boardwalk Empire to be the opposite,
with almost every season more compelling than the last. The final season is now
halfway done, and I find myself already missing it.
