Ubisoft has released the Bad Blood add-on for season pass holders of
Watch Dogs for Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and Xbox One, with the
Xbox 360 edition to follow "soon." The add-on brings new content to the
open-world action game also known as Watch_Dogs, and word is this will be
released for everyone on September 30th. Here are the bloody
details: Watch_Dogs Bad Blood builds upon what made Watch_Dogs a
record-breaking success by delivering a potent combination of action-adventure
missions, seamless multiplayer modes and open world exploration. In Watch_Dogs
Bad Blood, players take on a new campaign starring Raymond “T-Bone” Kenney, the
brilliant and eccentric hacker from the original campaign. Players pick up
T-Bone’s story as he’s planting a false trail at Blume and receives a panicked
phone call from his former Blume colleague, Tobias Frewer, in desperate need of
help. T-Bone decides to help Tobias, but quickly realizes the details of his old
friend’s story aren’t adding up…
Watch_Dogs Bad Blood also grants players access to Street Sweep contracts, a
dynamic new system of side missions offering endless hours of challenges. A
first for Watch_Dogs, Street Sweep contracts are playable in co-op, friend or
public sessions, allowing two players to work together to combat Chicago’s
criminal groups. The popular online Hacking and Tailing modes, as well as the
ctOS mobile companion app, are fully playable with T-Bone in Watch_Dogs Bad
Blood.
In addition, Watch_Dogs Bad Blood features exclusive weapons, perks and outfits,
including the remote-control car, Eugene, T-Bone’s latest creation, which can be
upgraded with both offensive and defensive perks.

dreamt of in your sweetest nightmares... In the new Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell
video walkthrough, follow Johnny Gat on a trip through Hell and see some of the
devilish weapons he will use. Although as a Saint, would you consider

Wasteland 2 has earned over $1.5 million in the four days since the
release of the post-apocalyptic RPG sequel last Friday. There's word on this on
CVG, where they note that the original announcement of this news erroneously
stated the game had sold 1.5 million copies, which obviously would represent
even greater earnings if it was accurate. They offer a quote from inXile
Entertainment founder Brain Fargo: "We are ecstatic that the style of game we
love so much has been embraced so well."
Blizzard announces that background downloads are now available of the new
version 6.0.2 patch for World of Warcraft that will accompany the release
of the upcoming Warlords of Draenor expansion for World of Warcraft. On a
related note,
Battle.net offers system requirements for Warlords of Draenor, showing
you'll probably be able to run this if you have a computer made after 2006.
Digital Dream Entertainment announces Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn,
an upcoming simulation of the popular sport of dinosaur hunting. The pedigree
for this game is rather circular, as Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter was a 2010
mobile remake of Carnivores 2, a game which was released for Windows back in the
20th century, making this is a Windows remake of a mobile port of a Windows
game. They are looking to raise additional funds
via Kickstarter, and you can find more on the game on its
official website, where they
offer a promotional
trailer. Word is they're getting the band back together: The game was
originally released for the PC back in 1998 to great reviews and a loyal fan
following. Since then there have been several Carnivores versions on mobile and
one for the PlayStation Network. Key members of the original team have been
reunited to develop this game. Yaroslav Kravchenko, the games original creator
says, “I’m very excited to work with members of the original team, to bring
Carnivores: Reborn back to its rightful home on the PC. We will make this the
best Carnivores yet!”
The game takes place in the distant future, when a space-roving vessel discovers
a planet that has conditions similar to those on Earth. But this Earthlike
planet proves to be too dangerous for colonization because its Jurassic period
is not yet over. Back on Earth, however, the lure of the hunt is tantalizing,
and a corporation known as DinoHunt, Inc. claims the planet so that rich
customers can hunt living, breathing dinosaurs. As one of these hunters, you
will track and stalk your prey. But this isn’t a hunting trip where the quarry
is easily conquered; in this match of man versus monster, survival is not
guaranteed.
Knowing your environment is key to the quest and the 3D landscape is vivid and
beautifully created. The new game offers a variety of lush environments
including islands with pristine beaches, dense jungles, and arid deserts.
Knowing the environment is crucial and so is selecting the right weapon. Is a
high-caliber rifle, a sniper rifle, or a silent crossbow the weapon of choice,
or do you want to use a tranquilizer gun that will put your prey to sleep rather
than kill it? A handheld GPS with radar will make tracking your prey easier. But
remember, you’ll need Cover Scent to prevent your alert quarry from locating you
by your smell, and turning you from hunter into hunted. Each dinosaur is
different, with realistic, advanced AI logic, and your trek will take you from
the dimmest of dinosaurs who seem to be no threat at all to others who possess a
heightened sense of hearing, sight, and smell. Continue here to read the full story.
Paradox Interactive announces the release of the Windows edition of Ancient
Space, saying the OS X edition of Creative Forge's sci-fi real-time strategy
game will follow "soon." Their intent is to offer purchase options
on this page, though there's
nothing there at the moment. Here's
a gameplay reveal trailer
from earlier this month, and here's word: "Paradox Interactive today announced
the galaxy-wide launch of Ancient Space, a new real-time strategy (RTS) game
from developer Creative Forge. Featuring deep strategic gameplay and starring a
cast of fan-favorite sci-fi actors from film and television, Ancient Space will
challenge gamers to navigate a suspenseful single-player story campaign as they
guide their fleets beyond the edge of the known universe. Purchase of the game,
which is available at digital retailers for $19.99, includes a digital art book
and the game’s original soundtrack."
Here's a new trailer
from Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons,
showing off this upcoming sci-fi real-time tactics game. As the game's release
draws near they will be releasing more such videos to introduce the game's
various factions. Today's clip introduces the game's titular Black Talons.
Here's word: In Mechs & Mercs: Black Talons you take command of the Black
Talons company, a fearless mercenary unit currently stationed in the Oberon
system, torn apart by ruthless dictators and power-hungry warlords.
The Black Talons provide everything from specialist squads and supplies, to
entire armies, bases and powerful mechs of warfare to fight the warmongering
Tzanar.
This comes at a price, of course -- but in a universe controlled by the corrupt,
is it enough to stand by and watch while great cities burn to the ground and
whole civilizations are destroyed in the name of conquest? Continue here to read the full story.
Here's a follow-up to the ItB post last night about the NY Mets
hashtag disaster, which, of course, also follows up on my comments about the
team over the years. Perhaps you think I've been exaggerating? Well, according
to an (infallible) ESPN
poll, not only are the Mets the least appealing club to root for in Major
League Baseball based on a variety of criteria, but out of 122 major sports
teams encompassed in their survey, they rank as the 118th most attractive to
fans. Oh, by the way... one of the four teams to rank worse than the Mets are
the Knicks, who can thank the Toronto Maple Leafs from keeping them from ranking
122 out of 122.
Here's a breakdown of exactly why the Mets landed where they did, which
somehow manages to avoid the word "suck."
