"The End is in Sight!" proclaims
a
Kickstarter update for Wasteland 2 announcing inXile entertainment
plans on shipping their RPG sequel by the end this August. Here's part of the
update which includes details on a new big update that just rolled out today for
the game's beta: We also just released another big update to the Wasteland
2 beta (full
notes on our tumblr). This update adds the final major area of Arizona,
meaning the Wasteland 2 beta now includes all Arizona maps, which is
approximately half the entire game!
At this stage we're internally feature complete, but not feature locked. What
that means is that every feature is in our dev builds but we're still testing
functionality, gameplay balance impact and even quality. If a feature is not
good enough, we'll cut it, but if fan feedback and internal review indicates
it's vital, we'll double down on it. But the main focus for the new few months
lies with balancing, optimizing and of course mercilessly hunting down bugs.
But we are not yet in full lock-down, it is important for us to stay flexible
for iterations as we keep learning from the backer beta. For instance, we'll be
tweaking the skill usage density and variety our game levels, and adding some
smaller lines and skill-paths. Combat balance is something else we'll be
spending a lot of time on in the next months, as it still needs much
fine-tuning. Localization is another major step and we can do with more help on
that, see more below. In other words, these next few months won't be idle
months!

Indie Danish developer Full Control announces the release of a new automatic
Steam patch for Space Hulk that adds co-op support to the mech combat
strategy game. This coincides with the release of a new
Harbinger of Torment
Campaign that adds five new missions that are designed around co-op play,
though they are also available in single-player and versus modes. Here's word on
the patch and the DLC: Players can now challenge friends, in up to
4-player co-op battles where three gamers each control a squad of terminators
and one player controls the Genestealers. To support co-op gameplay, Full
Control has given multiplayer a complete overhaul and is introducing a lobby
system where players can see other gamers who are online and ready to play. The
new co-op functionality is free with Space Hulk, so all players need to do is
log in, visit the new lobby and play.
About the Harbinger of Torment Campaign
As the Space Hulk, the Harbinger of Torment, emerged from the warp it was
discovered to be on a collision course with the planet Baal. Several attempts
were made to change course, but all failed. A team of the Imperium’s finest
warriors is sent to the Harbinger of Torment to try and reverse the engines or
stop them altogether. Failure is not an option. Harbinger of Torment has been
specially designed for 4 player co-op and is now available for PC, Mac and Linux
on Steam.

updated final demo for this puzzle/platformer to show off its current state. This is available on the Schein
downloads page, and here's the spiel: "Schein’s ever-evolving Dev-Demo has
been updated and has now reached its final state. It has hereby ceased to be a
Dev-Demo and is now the official, representative Demo of Schein. This is a
short, specially designed level, with a selection of main gameplay elements. And
the monsters had to stay at home, so it's absolutely safe to try." All this goes
along with the game's return to
Steam
Greenlight for your voting pleasure. Of this they add "say 'yes' to Schein"
(we would have gone the "don't say nein" route). Finally, here's
a new trailer. Continue here to read the full story.
Defrost Games announces that Project Temporality is now available
on Steam as promised,
carrying a temporary 33% launch discount for the next week. "We are excited to
bring Project Temporarily to the Steam universe," says Niklas Hansson, Defrost
Games founder. "Now everyone can play in four dimensions and change the way they
think about time." Here's
a launch trailer and here's word on the 4D puzzler: Experience the
mind bending power of single player cooperation.
Project Temporality is a third person action/puzzle game built around the
concept of allowing the player to play with time. Thanks to our proprietary
engine Sparta 3D we make the fourth dimension as available as the other three.
Just as with a VCR you can rewind time or fast-forward through it seamlessly.
Combining this and our time line concept you will solve mind-bending puzzles, by
giving yourself a helping hand. Any time you need a friend, you can be that
friend. Create a new timeline at any time/any place there are no restrictions.
This game is all about giving you full freedom in four dimensions.
Solve puzzles involving lasers, mirrors, force fields, trap doors, platforms,
keys etc. Exploit time to do the impossible. Explore the world and see into the
mind of its people. We hope that you will enjoy the result of our years of
evenings and weekends.
Contains 6-14 hours of gameplay. Continue here to read the full story.

stealth/action games. This is a PC version of the mobile Assassin's Creed
built using Babylon.JS, an open-source 3D engine that is built on WebGL,
Javascript, and Typescript, according to
this story where they have further details and quotes. ""When Assassin's
Creed Pirates was released on mobile, it received high praise for its
groundbreaking visuals," explains Francois Bodson, Studio Manager. "We wanted to
see if a game like this could be possible on the Web. It's difficult to really
know where web-gaming is headed, but we can be sure that Babylon.JS and Internet
Explorer today, in terms of gaming, are great platforms to demonstrate its
potential." This video
shows off the project, and though there is a Microsoft focus, word is this will
play on browsers other than Internet Explorer. Continue here to read the full story.

Hand, the eccentric Sonny Joon always seemed a step ahead of Nancy. But as he
runs this reality show, everything starts spiraling out of control. Are the
mishaps the result of cheating competitors or something beyond this world? Step
into Nancy Drew’s shoes to uncover the truth."
Hey Blizzard, I think I've figured out how to get you out of the oddest story
choice in Diablo III, the first act death of one of the most beloved characters
in the series. Think about it... he was killed by butterflies, which are
popularly reproduced via origami. That's right... Deckard Cain was a replicant!
