Full Control announces Steam
Early Access to Jagged
Alliance Flashback is now available, allowing the chance to play this
upcoming Jagged Alliance prequel before development is complete, presuming this
doesn't trigger any temporal abnormalities. "The launch of Jagged Alliance:
Flashback on Steam Early Access is a significant milestone in our vision to
bring back the beloved turn-based franchise to its roots," said Thomas Lund, CEO
of Full Control. "We're excited to launch the game on Steam Early Access and
can't wait to see what the Jagged Alliance community will build with the
Editor." The game is due for full release later this year, and here's word on
the version that's currently available: A unique mix of deep turn-based
tactics, role-playing and squad management, Jagged Alliance: Flashback is set on
the fictional Caribbean Island of San Hermanos in the late 1980’s.
An elected president - “The Prince”, uses his military forces to halt a
rebellious group attempting to overthrow his regime. Powerless against his
organised military forces, the leader of the rebellion is arrested and the
insurgents quickly dissolve. Arriving on San Hermanos, the players first mission
is to help the rebel leader escape from prison, before things take a turn for
the worse.
Steam News announces the
release of Heavy Bullets
via Early Access, offering a randomized first-person shooter which is also
available through other digital distributors. Here's the announcement explaining
the game: Through the dark art of video game publishing, Devolver Digital
has teamed up with nom de plume Terri Vellimann and the surprisingly handsome
musician Doseone (Samurai Gunn) to launch the procedurally generated FPS Heavy
Bullets on Steam Early Access. The debut game from Brazilian developer Terri
Vellimann is available now as a pretty damned polished beta and the community is
invited to provide feedback and suggestions through the last two months of
development. American musician/producer/rapper/gentleman Doseone is providing
the score and sound design for Heavy Bullets and will be posting works in
progress and streaming music sessions to give the community an insight into his
process.
Heavy Bullets arms the player with a simple yet stylish revolver and six
devastatingly plump bullets with the goal of resetting the security mainframe to
restore order and reap the rewards of a job well done. To succeed in the game,
players will need to move carefully and make smart use of their bullets, items,
and the environment as rushing into new areas is the fastest way to get killed
in the untamed wild of the neon corridors.
Casual Brothers announces they are ready to play pull-my-finger with the
Steam release of Orc
Attack: Flatulent Rebellion, as their co-op action game that brings biological
warfare to the dungeon. "We’ve been working diligently over the last few months
to bring Orc Attack to PC players worldwide," said Nacho Sanchez, co-developer,
Casual Brothers. "New improvements to the camera system and frame rate, plus
added Steam Achievements, will enable players of all ages to pull off all sorts
of gaseous farts, burps, and combos to their hearts’ desire." Here's the deal on
the game: In Orc Attack: Flatulent Rebellion, Orcs have become victims of
brutal Human expansion, as people are carelessly polluting the environment. Now,
four trained Orc heroes are retaliating with a not-so-silent yet very deadly
plan. In either single-player or up to four-player co-op, gamers will take on
the role of Orcs, each wielding a unique gaseous ability, taking the fight to
the Humans in a stinky, fart-filled romp.
Players will enjoy a variety of gameplay features, including two different
gameplay modes: The Magic Mode, in which Orcs perform magical spells with
devastating effects on their enemies; and The Dirty Mode, in which Orcs produce
vile and dangerous gasses creating explosions and other devastating effects on
their enemies.

Far Cry experience ever. Far Cry 4 will be available November 18 in the US and

In Far Cry 4, players find themselves in Kyrat, a breathtaking, perilous and
wild region of the Himalayas struggling under the regime of a despotic
self-appointed king. Using a vast array of weapons, vehicles and animals,
players will write their own story across an exotic open-world landscape.
“Following the success of Far Cry 3, we wanted to take the franchise to the next
level and create a game that will surprise players and exceed fans’
expectations,” said Dan Hay, Executive Producer. “Given the unique setting, we
feel Far Cry 4 will stand out as a top first-person shooter and we’re eager to
reveal more about the game in the coming months.”
Customers who pre-order Far Cry 4 receive a free upgrade to the Limited Edition
which includes Hurk’s Redemption, a series of three action-packed single-player
missions featuring the popular character Hurk from Far Cry 3’s DLC. The Limited
Edition also includes Hurk’s signature harpoon gun called “The Impaler”. The

3D Realms and Interceptor Entertainment announce Bombshell, an
Unreal-engine third-person action game coming to PCs and PlayStation 4. This is
the culmination of their second teaser
countdown after their previous
tease that prompted
a lawsuit after it
turned out to be for a new Duke Nukem game. This new announcement seems to skirt
the issue of Duke rights by using the name of the female character that was at
one time intended as Duke's sidekick in Duke Nukem Forever. They plan on
unveiling more on this at E3, here's a
Bombshell reveal trailer,
and here's word on the game:
From the creators of 2013’s Rise of the Triad comes Bombshell, a top-down action
role-playing game for PC and PlayStation 4. Shelly “Bombshell” Harrison
strong-arms her way across 4 planets in an Unreal Engine-powered galactic
adventure to the save the U.S. President from an apocalyptic alien threat. With
out-of-this-world enemies, a never-before-seen arsenal of devastating weaponry

Paradox Interactive announces the release of the Shieldmaiden "mini-expansion"
for War of the Vikings, which will add female warriors to Fatshark's
melee combat game, accommodating female players and legions of
virtual cross-dressers. This is being offered for free alongside a new paid DLC pack
that adds character customization options, though there will be no bikini armor
or boob physics involved. "Out of all of the research and study that went into
designing War of the Vikings, the history surrounding shieldmaidens was some of
the most fascinating and controversial," said Gordon Van Dyke, Executive
Producer for Paradox’s War series. "Our design reflects the preparations that
any warrior, male or female, would have made for battle: practical protection,
not sexualized fantasy. We’ve saved the physics for the combat, where it
belongs." Here's more: Paradox Interactive today announced the addition of
female characters to War of the Vikings, the close quarter combat game developed
by Fatshark. The “Shieldmaiden” mini-expansion adds the highly anticipated
option to play as female combatants in a new pre-defined class for both the
Viking and Saxon factions, with designs inspired by history and real-world
accounts of brave warrior women, and comes at no cost to all players. This
update launches alongside a new DLC package that adds a wealth of customization
options to the new female warriors – absurd and nonsensical ‘boob armor’ not
included. Owners of the of the Blood Eagle and Valhalla editions of the game
will have this customization DLC already included, base game owners can purchase
the customization DLC for $4.99.
The Shieldmaiden mini-expansion for War of the Vikings also gives all players
access to new maps, new weapons, and the ability to use a female face for all
existing classes.

Today is that
fast food workers strike people have been talking about. I guess I've been
supporting this for years, as I don't do the fast food thing. On the other hand,
I'm pretty sure I managed to eat so many Big Macs and Whoppers as a younger man
that I will have to live to around 150 before my abstinence will actually impact
these company's bottom lines.
