The Pocketwatch Games blog announces the release of a new update for Monaco:
What's Yours is Mine, adding the fourth and final chapter to the heist game
(thanks
VG247). The update is free to all owners of the game, while they attempt to
entice non-owners with a 75% off sale
on Steam. Word is: "This
campaign is brutally difficult (all eight levels are as hard as Identity) and it
concludes the story of the Gentleman and his nefarious crew. It’s called Monaco:
Fin." Here's a perspective on the game:
Our development on Monaco is
coming to an end now, but who knows if we will revisit it sometime in the
future. Maybe a decade from now we’ll reinvent the little known cult-classic
that was once called “one of the best co-op games of all time”.
We do hope you enjoy this last glimpse into the criminal capers of the Smith,
the Lookout, the Pickpocket, the Cleaner, the Mole, the Gent, the Redhead, and
the Hacker. We’ll miss them as much as you.
And we hope you’ll stick around so that we can entertain you with new
adventures, challenges, and memories in the next chapter of Pocketwatch
Games.
Steam News announces
Early Access is now underway for
Centration, and the
multiplayer space station survival game is 15% off for the moment. They're
working on some launch issues, as outlined
in this post, and here's word on the game:
Join your friends and
thousands of other players from around the world to crew space-stations in a far
away solar system, working together to maintain, defend and manage everything
from lunch-time menus to the state of the fusion engines. Work shifts and get
paid for your tireless efforts, expand your character's skills and experience,
kit yourself out with the latest and greatest gear and get promoted over your
friends.
A post to the
DAYZ blog outlines plans for the next big update to Bohemia Interactive's
survival/horror game (thanks
Polygon). Here's a bit on what's coming:
Fireplaces
We’re ready now for our final implementation next week of fireplaces and the
ability to light flammable objects on fire. Many visual updates and changes to
the engine have occurred as part of this and we’re now making the mechanisms for
players to decide where and how to make fires and how to light items on fire.
Physics and Throwing
We will be deploying this to experimental next week to gain some more feedback
on its implementation. Progress on ragdoll has been steady although this is
unlikely to be in experimental next week and will be ongoing for some time. A
new animation system and animations have been made that allow you to “power” up
your throw, the same system is used to allow you to draw your arrow when firing
from the bow.
Happy birthday to Chloe, as my youngest niece turns nine years old today, which
makes me wonder where the time goes. Also, happy birthday to Batman, as it is
also the birthday of our forums' resident crime-fighter. So who was in charge of
baking the cake?
