There's a
Titanfall config guide on PC Gamer showing how to get the most out of
your rig when playing Respawn's mech-themed shooter. They provide some external
optimizations, including a utility to unpark CPU cores and tips on fixing vsync
through your video card's drivers.
Steam now offers
Farm
Machines Championships 2014, the latest offering from PlayWay, creators of
Car Mechanic Simulator and
Garage Online. The game is 30% off for
the first week, and here's word, which should allay any fears that this isn't as
odd as their previous offerings:
The ultimate farmers' showdown returns
with monstrous new machines, brand new events and an expansive new terrain!
Are you the fastest, most accurate and craziest farmer in the competition?
Climb aboard Farm Machines Championship 2014 and sit behind the wheel of
tenacious tractors and humongous harvesters to compete in 40 various events.
Test your skills in new events, such as racing with forage wagons or
transporting grain. Tune up your machines by changing the gearbox, engine or
brakes. And change your tractor's look by adding additional elements to its
chassis to distinguish you from the rest of contenders including fresh paint,
decals, pipes and more.
Happy Ides of March! The thing that popped into my head about this today is a
one-hit-wonder
Vehicle, which hit #2 in 1970, as it was by a band called
the Ides of March (I'm very big on 70's pop music). According to
Wikipedia, the
lyricist says "I got the idea from one of these anti-drug pamphlets they
distributed in a school. It was very tongue-in-cheek." But it's hard to view
this as anything but a super-creepy autobiography of a child-molester. Is it
just me? Here's the first verse:
Hey, well I'm the friendly stranger in
the black sedan
Oh won't you hop inside my car?
I got pictures, got candy, I am a lovable man
I'd like to take you to the nearest star
I'm your vehicle baby, I'll take you anywhere you wanna go
I'm your vehicle woman, By now I'm sure you know
That I love ya (love you)
Need ya (need you)
I want to, got to have you child
Great God in heaven, you know I love you
I know, right? Beware the Ides of March indeed!
