Iron Tower Studio
now
offers an updated version 4.3 playable public beta/demo of
Age of
Decadence, their upcoming low magic, post-apocalyptic fantasy RPG. There's
no word on how this differs from the beta/demo
released in March 2012. There are
comments indicating this was originally being distributed through the Pirate
Bay, but there are now links to download from other locations, and the demo is
also available
on Steam.

Steam page for
Real
World Racing now offers a playable demo for this recently released top-down
racing game, which is also currently available at a discount as part of the
Steam holiday sale. Here's the skinny on the game: "REAL WORLD RACING is a
top-down racing game using high-quality aerial imagery that lets you race
through the world's greatest cities! Speed through London, Paris, Berlin, Rome
and many other cities from a new and realistic perspective in a refreshing take
on racing simulations."
The
Defiance website announces there is no longer a time limit on the free trial
version of
Defiance, the MMO-shooter/TV tie-in. Word is: "Good news, ark
hunters: we’ve lifted the time limit on our PC free trial. You can now try
Defiance free for as long as you like (with an increased EGO Rating cap of
500!)." The trial is also now available
through Steam.
Steam features a
playable demo for
Teslagrad that looks like it showed up when Rain Games'
puzzle/platformer was
released last week,
though it's possible this is the same demo for the game that was
released in August. Here's a refresher on
the game: "A journey begins... A treacherous tower... Unravel its mysteries!
Teslagrad is a 2D puzzle platformer with action elements, where magnetism and
other electromagnetic powers are the key to go throughout the game, and thereby
discover the secrets kept in the long abandoned Tesla Tower."
The
Titanfall website now
offers a
new video
showing off the Stryder from
Titanfall, EA's upcoming mech combat game.
Here's the Stryder sales pitch: "In field testing, the Stryder outperforms all
other titans in speed, acceleration and agility. It can also secure rapid
deployment objectives faster than any other titan on the frontier. For more

Happy solstice, as today is the first day of winter here in the Northern
Hemisphere and the first day of summer below the equator. Based on that one
might think I fall into the latter category, as it's 52°F out there right now,
and the forecast says to expect it to hit 66°F tomorrow. Apparently this is just
the northeastern U.S., as there's cold messy weather out in the rest of the
country heading our way to remind us where we actually live. Hope you are
