showing off the game, and here's word: Are you ready to enter the cockpit
and throw yourself into battle across the deadly skies of Vietnam? Well it’s
time to do your duty, as Air Conflicts: Vietnam launches today for retail in
North America and Canada. Experience the explosive conflict of Vietnam by
piloting incredible fighter jets and helicopters, destroying enemy artillery and
guiding your squadron to victory.
View the trailers below for a look at the fearsome combat aircraft you’ll
encounter in the game and see how they tear up the skies in action-packed flight
combat.
Air Conflicts: Vietnam is out today for PC, the Xbox 360® video game and
entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment
system.
Vietnam. 1965. A long-simmering conflict escalates into a full-fledged war, and
you are about to become a big part of it.
Jump into the cockpit of some of the finest combat aircraft as young Joe
Thompson, a newly minted U.S. military pilot. He is brave, talented and ready to
do his duty, but his experiences during this war will change him forever.
Air Conflicts: Vietnam is an arcade-styled air-combat game that immerses players
in the harrowing skies over Vietnam. Take to the air in screaming fighter jets
or grab the controls of devastating helicopter gunships as you shatter enemy
encampments with explosive ordinance, decimate North Vietnamese ace fighter
squadrons, escort bombers as they deliver their deadly payload, or rescue
stranded soldiers and deliver support troops to the ever-changing front lines of
the vicious battlefield.
Key Features of Air Conflicts: Vietnam
- Live a thrilling wartime narrative. In an epic
single-player campaign, filled with heroic moments and the darker side of
war, your performance in air combat and support missions drives the story
from the initial escalation of tension, through key battles of the Vietnam
War and, ultimately, the fall of Saigon.
- Jump into the cockpit for instant action. Pilot
and customize more than 20 planes and – for the first time in the Air
Conflict series – helicopters, including the workhorse UH-1 Iroquois,
fire-breathing AH-1 Cobra attack gunships, the devastating F4 Phantom and
F104 Starfighter jets, plus fearsome enemy MIG fighter jets.
- Lead your squadron to victory. Command up to four
jets or helicopters, maximizing their unique abilities to complete
challenging objectives, while earning experience, leveling up and improving
your leadership and air combat skills.
- Challenge your friends for air supremacy. Play up
to eight online opponents in nail-biting, fast-paced capture-the-flag,
deathmatch and team deathmatch air battles.
- Get your groove on. As you test your pilot skills
against AI or human opponents, treat your ears to a cool rock soundtrack in
the style of vintage Vietnam-era tunes.

tweets about the misstep the world is making by not pursuing the Amalur
franchise that ate so many of his
quarters and gave him a heart attack
(thanks nin): "If someone were to buy Amalur, put team back on it, it's a
billion dollar franchise, 2 years later and still no ones done what we were
doing."
Double Fine has regained the rights to Costume Quest and Stacking,
and both games will be re-released along with Psychonauts at retail next
year for Windows and OS X. Here's what went down: Double Fine Productions
and Nordic Games have announced that Double Fine has reacquired all the
publishing and distribution rights to its games Costume Quest and Stacking.
Additionally, Double Fine has decided to partner with Nordic Games to bring
retail release of Psychonauts, Costume Quest, and Stacking for Windows and Mac
in North America and Europe during the first half of 2014.
"I am pleased that we have regained full control over Costume Quest and
Stacking, following a daring and top-secret midnight raid on the Nordic Games
headquarters in Vienna," said Double Fine president and CEO Tim Schafer.
"We can't wait to partner with Double Fine for this upcoming retail launch of
three of its most excellent games," said Lars Wingefors, owner and CEO of Nordic
Games. "However, I feel compelled to point out that we were happy to transfer
distribution rights for Costume Quest and Stacking back to Double Fine in an
entirely non-secretive and heist-free manner."
Nordic Games previously acquired the distribution rights to Stacking and Costume
Quest upon the bankruptcy of former publisher THQ in early 2013.

Wasteland 2 within the next few weeks, saying "Feeling very confident that
#wasteland2 beta will be ready within 2.5 weeks. Knocking down the list of
annoying things very fast." He follows with
another tweet
clarifying that this doesn't mean they are ready to set a general release date
just yet: "We won't set a full release date until we work through the beta with
our backers, ultimately we are making this game together." Thanks

The Night of the Rabbit is now available
on Steam, offering this
point-and-click adventure game from Daedalic Entertainment for both Windows and
OS X. In addition to the game, this also includes the chance to sample a
playable demo for either platform. Here's word: "Daedalic Entertainment releases
The Night of the Rabbit demo on Steam. Players can enjoy the game's beginning
and also venture to Mousewood, solving the first mysteries of this enchanted
place and the magical world of The Night of the Rabbit."
Rock, Paper, Shotgun has details on the release, and perhaps un-release of
Ashes Cricket 2013, saying
the game is no longer available on Steam following its recent release, something
the game's Steam page
reflects. They explain the glitchy, buggy behavior of the game may be the cause
of this, noting that the game's Facebook page has also been closed after
apparently being filled with user videos of broken gameplay. They have not yet
gotten an explanation from publisher 505 or Steam of why the game was removed.

Another day, another million. A new
Letter from the Chairman on the Roberts Space Industries website reveals the
crowd funding for Star Citizen has hit $31 million, which triggers a
stretch goal they hadn't warned us about. Word is: Hitting $31 million
means you unlock the first of the player-selected role ships, the RSI Orion!
Like the Starfarer, the Orion is the kind of ship you probably wouldn’t have
flown in Wing Commander… but we intend to make it just as interesting as a
fighter or a bomber!
- RSI Orion – Roberts Space Industries’ goal
has always been to make the stars available to individual Citizens. Now,
with the RSI Orion mining platform, RSI is letting individuals take over a
process formerly controlled by megacorporations. The Orion’s features
include high-grade turret-mounted tractor beam arrays, durable
exterior-accessible ‘saddlebags’ for mineral storage and a cabin designed by
the team that brought you the Aurora and Constellation!
The voting is a lot closer now, but it looks like “Explorer” has edged out
the crowd to be our next ship!

Still a bit off schedule after all that's been going on, so the Thanksgiving
