Borderlands 2
$100,000 Loot Hunt gets underway today, a day later than was
originally announced (thanks
Neutronbeam). Here are
the
official rules and here's the lawyer-free version:
Ambitious loot
hunters can enter the sweepstakes simply by taking down the daily targets once a
day for a total of 28 entries. In addition to the many weekly sponsored prizes,
one lucky loot hunter will win a grand prize of $50,000, and four others will
win varying amounts of cash totaling another $50,000. Only US players are
eligible for cash prizes and sponsored prizes. However, all players worldwide
can participate in the Loot Hunt, and the exclusive community goals granting
access to unique in-game loot.
Developer Jibb Smart announces a
Steam
Greenlight campaign is underway for
KarBOOM as they near the starting
line for this month's release of the kar, err, car combat game. There's a new
version of the game's playable demo to check out to help decide if the game is
worthy of your support. The new demo and the latest news on the game can be
found on
Indie DB.
I want to add a front panel with a card reader to my new PC, and I was excited
at how the
NZXT
Aperture M has a grid on its face that matches my
CM Storm Scout 2
case nicely. But, while this has a good rating on
Amazon, there are many notes there about how easy it is to bend the pins in
the CF slot, which I find bothersome. Compact Flash is obviously not the most
commonly used type of media card these days, so that's not a deal breaker, but I
figured I'd ask if anyone had a recommendation for this type of unit that
combines functionality and cool looks before I commit to see if there's anything
cool out there that I've missed.
