Rockstar Games offers more details on Grand Theft Auto Online, confirming
along the way recent
indications the game will include cash microtransactions. The post explains
the various activities that will be present upon launch of the online arm of
Grand Theft Auto V, including open world crimes, jobs, races, sports, and more,
while warning there will also be bugs and other growing pains to be worked out
after the launch. Rockstar also outlines other content and activities to be
added along the way via free updates, including co-op heist missions, CTF, and a
content creator.
Ubisoft announces the Homeland DLC pack is now available for Tom Clancy's
Splinter Cell Blacklist, imbuing the stealth/action sequel with new
missions, weapons, and more. Here's word on what this includes: New Co-op
Missions
- Billionaire’s Yacht Co-op map – In this
story-related mission, infiltrate a rogue billionaire’s yacht the day after
a decadent party in the Coral Sea solo or with a friend.
- Dead Coast Co-op map - Take out a terrorist cell
in a remote part of the Middle East in single player or co-op mode.
Weapons, Gear and More
- Crossbow with sleeping gas bolts - When armed with
the stealthy crossbow and sleeping gas bolts, enemies will be snoozing
before they even know what hit them.
- Upper Echelon Suit – This suit offers better
protection against fire power and blends into the shadows.
- 4E Eclipse Suit - This suit allows Sam to carry
more gadgets and offers premium protection.
- Gold, Amber and White goggles - Mix up Sam’s
iconic goggles with Gold, Amber or White lights.
- Exclusive Mercs and Spy Skin
Ageod announces España 1936, a new strategy game set during the Spanish Civil
War, the conflict that immediately preceded World War II. The
game's
official website is online, offering details, screenshots, and a release
date of "Coming Soon." Here's a bit on the setting: "It is 18th of July 1936.
The Spanish army has risen in arms against the democratically elected
government. Elements of the army together with militias will defend the Republic
from this military coup. Outside influences are also at play and the Axis powers
will help the Nationalist Rebels, while the USSR will assist the Republicans. A
civil war has begun but it is also a proxy war between two super powers. Sons of
the same motherland, two factions vie for power. Only one will survive."
Ubisoft, South Park Digital Studios, and Obsidian Entertainment announce
South Park: The Stick of Truth will be released in the U.K. on December 13th
for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and the
game's
official website says the North American release will come on December 10th. As for PCs, there is less certainty, as they
say: "The Windows PC release date will be shared at a later time." They
celebrate the news with a new "Destiny" trailer

Square Enix and Eidos Montreal announce The Bank Heist for the upcoming THIEF
reboot, a preorder bonus in-game mission that's an homage to the Bank mission
in Thief II: The Metal Age. They offer
this trailer showing
off the mission and provide the following details: THE BANK HEIST
As the Master Thief, infiltrate the City’s most secure location, Stonemarket
First Bank, to steal a coveted family heirloom called the Star of Auldale. To

offering another look at the visuals in Unreal Engine 4, their next game engine.

The second
announcement of Valve's
promised three
announcements is live, following news of
plans for SteamOS with details on Steam Machines, a "powerful new category of
living-room hardware" they say is "on the horizon." Join the hardware beta now.
Choose the model right for you in 2014. They describe plans for a variety of
such machines coming from several partners to account for differing needs, and
outline a Valve Prototype, saying they are shipping 300 of these free to Steam
users to test. They outline how to qualify as a tester and also have a FAQ
covering the topic. The FAQ indicates that some games will use "in-home
streaming," saying Steam Machines can play: "The nearly 3,000 games on Steam.
Hundreds already running natively on the SteamOS, with more to come. The rest
will work seamlessly via in-home streaming." Here's word on testing:

Today is the release date for Nihilumbra, and BeautiFun Games' iOS
puzzle/platformer is now also available for Windows, OS X, and Linux. Word is:

Norwegian e-tailer
Komplett.no now lists a Windows edition of Grand Theft Auto V, in
spite of the fact that no PC version of the open-world action sequel has yet
been announced. This is not preventing them from offering a release date, which
reads March 19, 2014. They even seem to be accepting preorders for the price of
399.00 NOK (~US$66.00), and a Google translation also shows the following
incomprehensible footnote: "The funding comes in addition £ 45 in bank charges
and $ 295 in entry fee per customer. Credit Purchase price: £ 1,274. Full Sale
Terms and yield. Upon purchase of more products, credit price will be lower."

from The Inner World, highlighting the story from Headup Games' upcoming
