Gearbox Software announces the Borderlands 2 Ultimate Upgrade Pack 2
is now available, further boosting the level cap in Gearbox's shooter/RPG
sequel. Here's word: Today's an exciting day for Borderlands 2 with the
Ultimate Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge (containing 11 additional
levels for characters to gain, more skill points, the challenging new Raid on
Digistruct Peak map, and more) out now on Xbox 360, Steam and hitting
PlayStation 3 with the next PlayStation Store update!

Steam News announces the
release of the Windows edition of
Rayman Legends,
which is also available as a recently
released demo. They say: When Rayman, Globox, and the Teensies discover
a mysterious tent filled with captivating paintings, they are suddenly
transported to a series of mythical new worlds!

save the day, and discover the secrets of the legendary paintings!
The Metro: Last Light -
Tower Pack is now available on Steam, offering more content for
Metro: Last Light, 4A
Games' first-person shooter, which is on sale in celebration. According to
the announcement: Fight
your way up through a heavily guarded tower stronghold. Each level is
increasingly difficult- Can you make it to the top? Compare your time and other
stats against your friends with the added leaderboard functionality and try
again.
Note: This purchasable item is included in the Metro: Last Light Season
Pass.
The
Kickstarter for Mighty No. 9 has blown past its $900K funding goal
just a couple of days
after launching, and is already hurtling toward the $1.5 million stretch goal
for this Mega Man-inspired project. Two goals have already been triggered, and
the game will have two more stages than originally proposed and OS X and Linux
versions will come as well as the Windows edition. The next goal is a game plus
mode, and there are several mystery goals leading up to the $2.5 million plateau
that will prompt console ports.
Franchise Hockey Manager is now available from
OOTP Developments for Windows and OS X, offering the chance to general
manage your own virtual hockey team. "We've learned a lot about developing
sports management games after 14 versions of Out of the Park Baseball, so we
felt it was time to apply those lessons to a new game," said OOTP co-founder
Markus Heinsohn. "What better way to do that than with hockey?" Here's the
announcement: OOTP Developments today released Franchise Hockey Manager
2014, which steps into the current hockey management game void by offering the
most comprehensive GM experience on the market. FHM 2014 features 19 leagues
from around the world, along with historical NHL play as far back as 1947 and
the entire WHA history from 1971 to 1979.

Focus Home Interactive announces Space Hulk: Deathwing, an upcoming
first-person shooter based on the Space Hulk arm of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000
universe. The Unreal Engine 4 game is in the works at E.Y.E: Divine
Cybermancy developer Streum On Studio and coproduced by Cyanide, who are not
revealing a release date just yet. The Space Hulk Deathwing website
is online, offering a brief cinematic
teaser trailer to raise
anticipation for the game. Here's word: Space Hulk®: Deathwing™ is a
First-Person Shooter experience of Games Workshop’s classic Space Hulk boardgame
set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000, developed on Unreal Engine 4 by Streum
On Studio, the team behind E.Y.E: Divine Cybermancy. Published by Focus Home
Interactive and co-produced by Cyanide Studio, Space Hulk: Deathwing offers
players the chance to experience a desperate battle against Genestealers in the

We had a pleasant Labor Day weekend at the Blue Tower, though the shock that
September is already upon us is still reverberating. The rib dilemma I described
turned out just okay... They could have used more time in the smoker for better
tenderness, but they had good flavor, so next time they will be better. I have
another rack of spare ribs in the fridge, so I'll try again soon and see what
sort of improvement another hour or so of cooking helps.
