Diablo III Expansion in 2014?

GamesBeat reports a rumor that Diablo III players who have been playing the same content for more than a year now will have to wait until next year for relief in the form of an expansion for the action/RPG sequel. They say this is what they have "learned," without saying where they've learned it, and that a Blizzard spokesperson declined to comment on the report.

PAC-MAN Museum Announced

NAMCO BANDAI announces plans for Pac-Man games, sending along two different press releases with contradictory information. One mentions plans to bring a newly announced TV tie-in called PAC-MAN and the Ghostly Adventures to Steam as well as consoles, but the other does not mention a Steam version, just consoles and mobiles. There is also a patch coming to PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX called PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX+, and one of the press releases also mentions this is coming to Steam this summer, though the PC edition is only currently available for Windows 8, and the other release does not mention Steam either, so there is some confusion there as well. The one thing both announcements agree on is a Steam version of a compilation called PAC-MAN Museum coming this winter. We've contacted NAMCO BANDAI for a clarification of the contradictions, and are told that all three games are definitely coming to PCs, but they are yet to further clarify the Windows 8/Steam question. In the meantime, here's word on PAC-MAN Museum:

SAN JOSE, Calif., (June 11, 2013) NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc. is bringing the legendary PAC-MAN® arcade gaming experience to the Americas in a sensational collection of PAC-MAN games in PAC-MAN MUSEUM. The exciting compilation is scheduled to launch in the winter 2013 as a digital download release for the Xbox 360®* games and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system, STEAM, Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system, and the Wii U™ system from Nintendo.

PAC-MAN, the yellow 80’s icon with a voracious appetite that has transcended generation upon generation of gamers, stars in this nostalgia-packed collection of games. In the game, players will need to skilfully dodge and juke troublesome ghosts while gobbling up all the pac-dots and power pellets lying in their path. PAC-MAN MUSEUM will include classic PAC-MAN titles as well as newer arcade releases, allowing gamers to play through the evolution of PAC-MAN from his humble beginnings from 1980 through 2008’s critically acclaimed PAC-MAN® Championship Edition™** and 2010’s arcade smash-hit PAC-MAN Battle Royale®.

PAC-MAN Battle Royale turns PAC-MAN’s classic pellet chomping gameplay on its head with multiplayer madness and will be available for consoles and STEAM for the very first time. The ghostly mayhem breaks out of the PAC-MAN formula and features an over-the-top experience for up to four players with each player controlling a PAC-MAN character to gobble up pellets, fruits and best of all… each other. Players will chomp their way to victory through fast-paced maze action with the constant threat of both ghosts and opposing PAC-MAN characters around every corner.

With the ball sitting there on a tee for them, Sony succeeded in pleasing most observers after announcing concrete details about the PS4, and how it will be more consumer-friendly in ways that the Xbox One will not be. So with the battle for the next generation officially a win for Sony, I think it's time to turn our attention to the next-next-generation. Will the PS5 continue it's lead over the next Xbox?
