Humble Mumble has details on the new
Humble Weekly Sale, which
offers a chance to pick up the entire Serious Sam series of not very serious

while supporting charity with their purchases. This also includes the revelation
of Serious Sam 4, saying that Croteam's proceeds from the proceedings will help
fund the next installment in the franchise, which is expected in 2014, saying:

Steam News announces a
free weekend is underway for Sid Meier's Civilization V, and that the turn-based
strategy sequel is on sale
for 75% off (the links currently erroneously read "Counter-Strike: Global

"Become Ruler of the World by establishing and leading a civilization from the

The
SimCity Website has word that the Mac OS X edition of SimCity is
delayed until August because EA and Maxis "do not believe it is ready for
primetime yet," you know, like the Windows edition was. Here's word on the
delay, which also outlines near-future plans for patching the Windows edition: Hi,
Mayors – today we are announcing that we are moving the release date of the Mac
version of SimCity to August. We have made this tough decision because we do not
believe it is ready for primetime yet. We want to ensure the Mac is a great
experience for our players and that is why we are taking more time.
In the meantime, on the PC side, we are currently working on a series of
multiplayer and multi-city fixes and improvements that will be available in
Update 5. To give you a preview of what’s to come, see the notes below.
You can expect Update 5 to hit in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned for more info
on that. In addition to Update 5, we are already beginning work on Update 6,
which will focus on RCI improvements, a lot of which we’ve gathered from fan
feedback on our forums. Once we have the notes locked down, we’ll release them
in our “Currently in Development” thread, like we’re doing today with Update 5.
One final note for our Mac fans: As a sincere thank you for patiently waiting to
play, we are going to extend the availability of the SimCity Launch Park
(released in Update 4) to all players who have purchased the Mac version. Now
you, too, can launch a Llama balloon. Because who wouldn’t want to do that?
Thanks again for your patience and understanding. See you in August!

Factory: Wingmen from Nine Dots Studio. The game is designed for use with
the Oculus Rift headset, and the page has a video showing off the impact

The Path of
Exile website confirms the promised major patch went live, bringing the
beta of Grinding Gear Games' action/RPG to version 0.11.0. They also detail a
version 0.11.0b patch that quickly followed to address stability issues, and say
a version 0.11.0c patch will is on the way to further pave the way for upcoming
league play (and no, we do not understand a version numbering system where
0.11.0 is a major patch and that subsequent minor patches wouldn't simply be
versions 0.11.1 and 0.11.2). They also say that they will begin offering new
Open Beta Supporter Packs tomorrow along with the version 0.11.0c patch. Here
are the patch
notes for version 0.11.0.
bitComposer Games announces that Jagged Alliance Online has re-launched
on Steam as a
single-player and multiplayer game with more features and less play-to-win than
it's web-based predecessor. They offer a
release trailer
and an online PvP
trailer showing off the game, as well as two premium editions of the

Steam as a single player and free multiplayer game.

gameplay, about a third of the size of the original game. Here's more: "A
Vampyre Story: Year One we hope will appeal to fans of A Vampyre Story, fans of

style will use hand painted 2D backgrounds, and have 3D animation, real time
lighting, and 3D characters models." Thanks

There are a lot of significant dates and holidays that I will fail to remember,
but today's is not one of them, as June 6th being the anniversary of D-Day is
burned into my mind pretty permanently. Even more than Memorial Day or Veteran's
Day, the knowledge of what unfolded on this date in 1944 really brings to mind
the incredible sacrifices of soldiers, and serves as a stark reminder of how the
horrors of war should be avoided. Here's a sincere salute to the greatest
generation.
