CCP offers a several new announcements about
EVE Online, their sci-fi
MMORPG. First is the EVE: The Second Decade Collector's Edition, a way of
showing how much you love the game, as it costs $149.99. This includes
collectibles, special in-game items, a book, a board game, a USB hub fashioned
after a starship, and "a 'Mystery Code' that will grant owners special, but
currently secret, benefits related to future CCP products and events." This is
due in October, and more details can be found in the
EVE Store, where preorders are underway. They also announce they are teaming
with Dark Horse for comics and a source-book based on
EVE Online - Stories From The First
Decade and that they have also entered into a creative partnership with
filmmaker Baltasar Kormákur and his production company to bring these tales from
the EVE Universe "to television screens worldwide." Finally, they announce DUST
514 will launch on 5/14 (get it?) offer PlayStation 3 users a first-person
shooter to interact with the EVE Universe.

We had a fine old time celebrating our anniversary yesterday. MrsBlue made an
apricot chutney to go with my ancho and chipotle rubbed grilled pork tenderloin,
and we were in hog heaven, so to speak. I have burgers and stuff for today, as
well, but after pigging out (I'll stop now) yesterday, I'm still working up to
this.
