Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) and OVERKILL Software today announced the availability of the very first DLC for PAYDAY™: The Heist - 'Wolfpack', which provides criminal masterminds with new heists, new tactics, advanced gameplay and bigger payouts. Wolfpack is now available via digital download on the PlayStation®Network and PC systems.
The Wolfpack DLC equips players with new weapons, equipment and skills to help get the ultimate score. The DLC pack also come equipped with two never before seen epic heists -- 'Undercover' and 'Counterfeit'. The 'Undercover' heist, which takes place in Washington D.C., forces players to drive away the pesky police interrupting a back alley deal, while the 'Counterfeit' heist pressures players to use silenced weapons to keep whistle blowing civilians from escaping a underground money printing gig and blowing the whole operation by telling the 5-0.

Valve announces Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

Deep Silver today announced the side-scrolling action brawler Sacred Citadel, a new standalone title that is set in the rich universe of Sacred. Sacred Citadel will reinvent the familiar arcade feel of classic brawlers while setting a new standard for the future of side scrolling hack and slash games.
There are several playable character classes, such as the Safiri Warrior, the Ancarian Ranger and the Khukuri Shaman, each with a different skill set that can be further individualized through RPG features and collectible items. Each character will also have the ability to dual-wield two exchangeable weapons, use combo attacks and perform double jumps. All of which combines into a fluid and unique arcade game experience with sophisticated graphics and spectacular effects. The player will also be able to ride mounts, use war machines and spend his hard earned cash in towns all over the world of Sacred Citadel.

That’s right, this is actually happening - DayZ will be developed as a standalone game, with me as project lead, by Bohemia Interactive. This is the fairy-tale outcome for a mod that many would have said impossible four months ago.
Development and updates of the mod will continue in parallel with the development of the game, so anyone who is playing the mod now will be able to continue to do so. The project will follow the Minecraft development model; fast iterations with the community alpha available for a heavily discounted price.
I realize people will have many, many questions - but we wanted to let everyone know the announcement now. Over the coming weeks, these questions will be answered. The game will have it’s own site, www.dayzgame.com and the mod will continue at it’s present link.

An issue on the server end of my email popped up last night, and I got to spend 20 minutes listening to prerecorded messages from Network Solutions offering all sorts of helpful "did you know?" tidbits, none of which included the fact that the outage I was reporting was apparently system-wide (even though it was only impacting one of my email addresses). At least the woman who I finally spoke with assured me they were working on it. But as comforting as that sounded, I was met with the same outage this morning, so I dug out a "gold VIP" contact email they sent me at one point to thank me for being a loyal customer for over 15 years to try and cut through some red tape. Sure enough, this got me someone on the phone immediately, who then informed me that he was in sales, and he could transfer me to the tech support department, which now has an extended wait (since if it is still a system-wide outage they are informing customers one at a time). Apparently I'm only a VIP when I'm buying something from them: After that I'm just another blinking light looking to waste their valuable time. After an hour I finally got someone to clear up the error, but I seem to be missing emails, and was unable to phrase my question about this in a form my technical support person was able to understand with her somewhat limited grasp on English. Ever notice it's customer service experiences like this that are *never* followed by one of those brief surveys to let them know how they're doing?
