Op Ed

Kotaku - Gaming's Biggest Problem Is That Nobody Wants To Talk.
The biggest problem in gaming today is that the gaming industry thinks we're all out to get them. They think gamers are the enemy, a group that needs to be treated with disdain and avoided whenever possible. They think the only way to fool us into buying their products is to cover everything in a shroud of secrecy, only drip-feeding us pretty trailers and juicy soundbites during carefully-tailored marketing campaigns. They think we should just sit there and lap it up.

Out of the Blue

Well the vet says both the pups look like they are doing well, and she seems to think the bloody stool incident was probably indeed stress-related, which was a theory presented by a reader based on his own experience. Their stool samples are being checked for parasites, but she seems pretty confident that this is what is, which certainly eases my mind. She also had a recommendation for the Gunnar-man's peeing everywhere, even though this is marking, not medical, as there is a product called the "belly band" that basically serves as a diaper for this, trapping the pee against his skin. Hopefully this will provide the same sort of negative reinforcement as a crate that will make him not want to do this because it means walking around in a wet belly band, but if it just stops him from peeing on my stove I'll be happier, so we'll have to see how that goes.
