An article on
The International House of Mojo that speculates that negative comments on about Wisecrack Games'
Sam Suede in Undercover Exposure Kickstarter may been made by Paul Trowe of Replay Games, who are making
Make Leisure Suit Larry come again (thanks ebberon). Replay
recently spoke of suing Wisecrack over infringement, but this article points the way to
this post by Al Lowe saying he is not getting all lawyered up with this:
I want to clarify with the media, the public, and the Kickstarter community what’s been in the press lately about my relationship with Wisecrack Games. I have no intention of suing Wisecrack, which has my permission to use my name and likeness regarding my involvement with Sam Suede.
While I am proud of the work I did on Sam Suede back in 2006, when I left the project the game’s design was nearly complete but the text, where the humor lies, was barely started. I not involved in any way with Wisecrack’s current production of Sam Suede.
I am currently actively involved with Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards Reloaded. I also am not personally involved in any legal action against Wisecrack and wish them well implementing my game design without me.

MCV - The danger of taking E3 out of context.
Look, it’s time for a reality check. Ten years ago consoles were about gaming. Just gaming. Then the Xbox 360 and PS3 went online, got online networks and it all changed. Then Nintendo had the gall to find a whole new mass audience and the games industry was altered forever.
But like it or lump it, that’s how it is. So if you’re still sitting down at an E3 presentation and expecting a feast of core-gaming worship, you’re setting yourself up for a fall.
Folk can turn up their nose at the merest mention of media content, mainstream franchises and celebrities all they like – but this IS the modern video games business. Or more accurately, it’s PART of the modern video games business.
Fortunately for us, for every soul-destroying Usher performance there’s an amazing Watch Dogs video. Gaming caters for everybody, including core gamers.
I had a first last night, as I wrote up a bunch of stories which I then failed to post! I made the mistake of getting an extra early start for E3 (which was a waste since the show is on the west coast), and I guess I wasn't concentrating very well by the end of the day. I ended up posting the stories at 1:00 am with an 11:59 timestamp, and had a fitful sleep from kicking myself.
