Baldur's Gate Countdown to Tomorrow

The Baldur's Gate Website that recently surfaced now features a countdown, presumably related to the hope "to announce something soon" expressed by former BioWare designer Trent Oster, co-founder of Beamdog, who own the website. The countdown looks like it will hit zero around noon EDT tomorrow, so hopefully we'll learn more about plans for the RPG series then.

World of the Living Dead Open Beta

The World of the Living Dead Website now offers access to open beta testing of this MMO strategy game set during a zombie outbreak. This trailer shows off gameplay, and the site has full details. Here's a bit describing the use of real-world data for gameplay:

WotLD makes innovative use of Google Maps and US Census data to create a massive game universe based on real-world locations. Zombie numbers in each city block react to player activity as they scavenge for supplies, kill zeds or raid other survivors. Realistic starvation and dehydration combine with the effects of fear and fatigue to make it tough to survive in a game where every city block is teeming with faceless hordes of the living dead.

EVE Fanfest Free Livestream

The EVE Online Fanfest Website announces that CCP will be offering free streaming video coverage of EVE Fanfest 2012, next week's CCP-specific game convention in Reykjavik, Iceland. They say this will include over 32 hours of coverage, and "every big announcement." There are details on the stream on this page, and though offering the SD stream for free was suggested by leading Icelandic economists, they are also offering the chance to buy access to an HD stream, which also comes with some "virtual swag."

Warface Interview

An interview on Rock, Paper, Shotgun gets Crytek to show them their Warface, the upcoming free-to-play multiplayer shooter. Topics include their research into how testers are playing the game, its modest system requirements, types of missions, things they will charge for, battling the stigma of free-to-play games, and more.

More Diablo III Class Skills

The Diablo III Website now offers more videos revealing class-specific skills for Diablo III, Blizzard's upcoming action/RPG sequel. Word is: "Some of these skills are previously unseen; others are familiar abilities that we’ve presented before; still others have been slightly tweaked from their original function. The videos listed below show skills that are unmodified by skill runes; they’re all depicted in their ‘basic’ form."

BioShock Infinite Trailer

Irrational Games offers the second of their promised "heavy hitters" reveals, of the bosses from BioShock Infinite, their upcoming first-person shooter sequel. Today they introduce the Handyman, or re-introduce, as he's glimpsed in the game's announcement trailer. We're disappointed to learn that this isn't a giant James Taylor head bristling with weapons, but rather, as this this ginormous screenshot shows, is a craggy-looking bald guy that... hey, maybe it is James Taylor! Here's a handy trailer where Irrational introduces the heavy hitter and shows off Handyman's handiwork: Continue here to read the full story.

Game of Thrones RPG Trailer has a new trailer showing combat in Game of Thrones: The Game, Cyanide Studios' upcoming A Song of Ice and Fire-based role-playing game (thanks VG247). Remember, winter is coming. Well, spring is coming, but, well, here's the video: Continue here to read the full story.

Basically Humans Must Answer is a classical horizontal scrolling shooter with a lot of shooting and evading but with some additional features. Player can place temporary towers (dron-towers) on the battlefield, combine weapons and more."
