VentureBeat has word that all or part of the PC edition of
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is in the hands of pirates after being stolen from a warehouse. The explanation of what was taken is a little vague: "Evidently, pirated discs began to spread quickly after an employee at a shipping warehouse (run by a huge shipping company) in Fresno, Calif., stole one disc. It’s not clear how many full copies spread this way, as the disc that was stolen was apparently Disc 2 of a two-disk set for the PC. Security may have been too tight for the thief to steal the other disc."
Fusible notes that Ubisoft has registered domains indicating the next installment in the Rainbow Six series of tactical shooters may be titled
Rainbow Six: Patriots. Word is Ubi now owns Rainbow6Patriots.com and RainbowsixPatriots.com. They note that
NeoGAF follows this up supporting the Rainbow Six: Patriots title theory.
During E3 a
Kotaku article offered purported details on the next Rainbow Six game, saying it will involve fighting terrorists on American soil. Thanks

Running With Scissors sends news that
Postal III will be released on Steam. This includes word on the next installment in the outrageous shooter series: "POSTAL III delivers the return of The Postal Dude, among the most memorable characters in video game history, as well as Virtual Guest Appearances by singing sensation Randy Jones (from The Village People), Playboy Playmate Jennifer Walcott and porn superstar Ron Jeremy. Or, as Desi put it: 'We cover the rainbow of society'." The
Postal III page on Steam is already live, and includes a December 2011 release date. We wrote top ask if this confirmed
recent reports that the game was due then, but have received no reply.
We have a huge snowstorm out there today, so regardless of what the calendar says, it seems to be winter now. This means this year fall lasted about six weeks, around here, which is about 50% longer than normal for the New York City area, so we have nothing to complain about.
