Valve is planning a free-to-play game, according to a report on French website Barre de Vie, where they followed up on Valve's announcement of free-to-play games on Steam by asking Valve's Doug Lombardi if Valve was planning F2P games of their own, and saying his reply was simply "yes." They proceed to speculate that this may relate to DOTA2, since it will have to compete with similar games like League of Legends, which use the free-to-play model. Thanks GameSpot.

I woke up last night with a sharp pain in my abdomen, which I would describe as agonizing, which says a lot, as I am freakishly stoical about pain. A quick look at the Wikipedia reassured me this was not appendicitis, as I was missing many symptoms, not to mention the pain was on my left side. It took almost an hour to go away, and it probably wouldn't have been much longer before I gave in and went to the emergency room. I'm still fine now, and my best guess is that I may have been suffering with a kidney stone. I'll probably see my doctor about this Monday, which I can deal with: I am just happy this didn't require that trip to the emergency room, as I have a tremendous aversion to hospitals.
