We ended up with a lot of ketchup after a trip to the big box store, so I am going to use some to make some barbeque sauce. This is a long-held ambition, as while I don't really believe it will turn out significantly different or better than store bought sauce, it will seem better by the psychology of being homemade. And yes, it is odd calling something homemade when one of the main ingredients is ketchup, but I am sure that will have an influence anyway.
