Bungie.net has a hint to expect an announcement from the
emancipated developer on
Bungie Day, which is June 7. Word is: "Yup, truth told we have been less and less active on Bungie.net as of late. Part of that is owed to my aforementioned travel arrangements, but a significant amount of my time is also now being dedicated to other upcoming endeavors that won’t make a splash on the front page until Bungie Day closes in around us. Unfortunately, that means there are just too many balls in the air for me to juggle without letting a few fall to the ground." Thanks

This story on Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet has thoughts from GRIN co-founders Ulf and Bo Andersson about
the closure of their studio. Translating the story reveals some remarkable allegations about their dealings with Square Enix, including word that the publisher did not pay any of $20 million USD owed to GRIN for
Fortress, their canceled Final Fantasy game, and that at one point Square Enix demanded they be sent game materials, including music files... via fax. Perhaps the most shocking story is how after being told their art style did not suit Final Fantasy, GRIN tested their tormenters by sending a shot from
Final Fantasy 12, which they were told also did not fit the series. Thanks

This trailer offers 20 minutes of gameplay footage from
Dead Island, Techland's upcoming zombie game. A clip of this sort includes spoilers, so this should probably be avoided is you want to keep the element of surprise intact. Thanks

Going to do some grilling today. One item on the menu is lamb, something I've never grilled before (or cooked in any form), which looks like it could be good, though the margin for error on the smallish pieces of meat is going to be pretty small, so this could go sour pretty easily. Oh well, no guts, no glory.
