Battle.net has details on more server-side hotfixes implemented in World of Warcraft since the version 4.1 patch Blizzard's MMORPG. This is a relatively small list of changes, which shows three tweaks to the Death Knight class, and one change each for Shamans and Warlocks. Thanks Ant.
Carmageddon.com now offers a countdown timer that looks like it will reach zero on June 1, suggesting an announcement is coming just in advance of this year's E3. The original Carmageddon was a 1997 DOS release, and the most recent installment was Carmageddon: Total Destruction Racing 2000 more than a decade ago. Thanks Computer and Video Games.
A new Size Five Games Website is online, heralding the new name of the independent developer formerly known as Zombie Cow Studios. Studio head Dan Marshall admits he never liked the original name, and for some reason is choosing to act on this after the Zombie Cow name started to gain some traction following the successes of Ben There, Dan That! and Time Gentlemen, Please! "Zombie Cow was just starting to get a bit of a name for itself. I think it’s fair to say we’re one of the better-known UK developers, so this could be a disaster. Hopefully we’re not going back to Square One. Rest assured that Size Five Games is exactly the same, just with a different name and a trendier website," says Marshall. "I haven’t announced what the first title from Size Five will be just yet, but it’s my most ambitious and exciting project. Hopefully I’ll be in a position to blab about all that very soon."
The Guild Wars 2 Interview on Strategy Informer chats very briefly with Jon Peters and Eric Flannum of ArenaNet about their upcoming MMORPG sequel. Topics include more details on the recently revealed Engineer profession and their emphasis on fun over grinding.
The Team Fortress 2 Blog announces that judging of Valve's sexy Saxxy Awards is now underway. Word is: "We've been busy vacuuming the gravy stains out of our red carpet, gossiping about who will be wearing which designers' hats, and practicing our sensationally boring dance numbers in anticipation of the First Annual Saxxy Awards, where a lucky twenty of you, the members of the TF2 community, will win the most prestigious virtual award in combat filmmaking: a foot-high bust of an almost entirely naked Australian man."
NowGamer has a bit from the new print issue of Play magazine, where Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart comments on how a sequel to Alpha Protocol would improve upon the original, though he stresses they are not actually working on a follow-up to the espionage-themed RPG. "Perhaps it was not necessarily the job we did but there was something beyond the game – how it was represented or how it was sold or what people felt we promised them. Something went off-kilter there. So there’s another lesson to learn about communication," says Urquhart. "We’re not making Alpha Protocol 2 but I would make Alpha Protocol 2. To do a job like this, sometimes you have to be optimistic, you have to look to the future and say ‘We can do better.’ And I always believe that." Thanks VG247.

IncGamers- Why reviewers don't get Brink.
During the lead-up to the Brink reviews going live, Bethesda had organised numerous online play sessions on the 360 to allow reviewers to play together. John handled the Brink 360 review here at IncGamers and I asked him about it a couple of days in. His main comment was that reviewers didn’t really understand the importance of team play and it was incredibly hard to get any sort of rapport going with team members because they were largely unfamiliar with each other. John had indicated that he didn’t think a lot of people would 'get it'. It seems he was right.

I'm pretty confident that the world isn't ending today. But if it does, I can take satisfaction in knowing I made a perfect omelet this morning. It's always nice to end on a high note.
