Modern Warfare 3 Audio Teasers

The Call of Duty YouTube Channel has a few teaser trailers from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. They don't offer gameplay footage, though each has a brief look at cinematic destruction, night-vision style, along with audio teases in several different languages for the upcoming military shooter sequel. There are clips for America, England, France, and Germany.

New X-Motor Racing and Demo

A new version 1.29.2 of X-Motor Racing is now available, updating this indie racing simulation. As always, owners of the game can get the new version through the game's internal update function. Those interested in picking it up can purchase it on this page, and there's an updated demo on this page. The new version improves tire data and RPM code and adds mid-engine and front-engine layout physics setups.

New BF1942 Eve of Destruction

The Eve of Destruction Website now offers a new version 2.31 of the Eve of Destruction modification that brings Battlefield 1942 from World War II into the Vietnam War. The update adds new vehicles, and tweaks a bunch of weapons and maps. They also recall the debut release of the mod was called version 0.10 because it represented 10% of what was planned for the project, clarifying that version 2.31 does not mean it is 231% done. Out of the Blue

The good news about my new squirrel-proof feeder? It seems to actually thwart the squirrels so far, I just today got to witness one do his best to get into the seed, only to end up falling off the feeder and give up. The bad news is that to some degree the feeder is also bird-proof. I've watched several birds have too much trouble balancing on its tippy base to make it worth their whiles to bother. I think I will go back to the store and see if I can exchange it for one of the models that has spring-loaded perches, even if it means it is more likely to suffer squirrel intrusions. Of course, if I keep this one, the 20 lb bag of birdseed I bought along with it might turn out to be a lifetime supply, but that doesn't seem to be the point. On the bright side, some goldfinches have discovered the other feeder, which doesn't seem to interest the squirrels at all, and they are awfully cute little things, so at least there's some activity out there.
