The Men of War: Assault Squad Page announces Best Way's Men of War sequel is now available in stores and via digital distribution (thanks Gamer's Hell). Here's a bit on the World War II tactics sequel: Men of War: Assault Squad is the new title in the "Men of War" series. Assault Squad takes place across the globe during the height of World War II and features a completely new cooperative skirmish game mode with access to five different nations (Russia, Germany, USA, Commonwealth and – for the first time ever in the Men of War series – Japan) as well as increased realism and accessibility. The expansion pack will deliver fans and newcomers an intense new WW2 spectacle with almost limitless replayability.
Like previous games in the series, Men of War: Assault Squad includes the unique “direct control” feature which enables players to maneuver units using the directional keys, rather than pointing and clicking. PC Generals can get behind the controls of a tank to smash through obstacles, crush soldiers under its tracks and fire armor-piercing shells at enemy emplacements, or take control of individual soldiers as they fight.

Heaven is once again in danger and threatened by a reckless army of hell spawn monsters - and they will stop at nothing. This time, only two heroes can save heaven from total destruction: Daniel and Belial, two champions from previous Painkiller stories, have to team up and put an end to the conflict in the old epic struggle between heaven and hell. Unfortunately hell’s army is even greater and stronger than before: The new general of the abyss has been endowed with powers of all the previous leaders combined, and she’s determined to see the next war through until hell’s victory. Her legions won’t back down without a long and bloody battle. Can you survive the endless attacks of nightmarish minions and terrifying fiends?

The Company of Heroes Online Website announces the addition of two new maps for both Reward and Custom games in this MMORTS game. The new maps are a two player map called Carpiquet and an eight player map called Hedgerow Siege that's a reworking of Relic's original six-player map. This seems odd since it was recently announced the game will go offline at the end of next month, but this incongruity goes unaddressed. Thanks Big Download.
The Interstellar Marines Website explains an unusual opportunity to earn shares in Zero Point Holdings, owners of the Interstellar Marines intellectual property, to those who purchase the support medals sold in the Interstellar Marines shop to fund development of the game. Bitmob - 10 reasons why PC gaming is in the gutter.
It's heartbreaking to reach an age where you have a decent income and can finally afford that tricked-out PC you've always wanted, only to find that developers have given you the cold shoulder. Let's hear it for shoddy support and ridiculous workarounds!
Here are 10 reasons why PC gaming is an ongoing source of depression and frustration:
The Spartacus: Gods of the Arena finale didn't disappoint, though it certainly didn't end like I expected. As I said before, this has me much more eager for season two, which is cool, though frustrating, as it's not expected until the end of January 2012. Oh well, Camelot looks like it may be interesting, though we didn't get to see the preview episode last night, so we're DVRing it tomorrow.
