IndustryGamers has word that BioWare founders Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk will be the 14th and 15th developers inducted into The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) hall of fame in a ceremony to be held on February 10, 2011, the first time two individuals will be inducted together. "The Doctors -- Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk -- have produced some of the most wildly successful and accomplished games, and these will resonate among gamers for a very long time," said Martin Rae, Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences president. "The range of their talents is endless, from game design and production to being accomplished in business and corporate leadership, and their original backgrounds as physicians. They truly embody what it means to be a Hall of Fame recipient and the AIAS is looking forward to including them into our esteemed list of inductees."

The article in the paper points the finger of blame not just at the parents, but the culture kids grow up in. I’m inclined to agree. Parents are scared to let kids outside and there is great comfort in knowing that your kids are safe in their rooms rather than out on the streets amongst their pot smoking peers, pedophiles and child killers that apparently plague our streets. Like anything, gaming is good in moderation. Many parents are not aware of the effects of excessive gaming and when they are suddenly faced with an aggressive or overweight child, they push the panic button and label gaming as dangerous and addictive. They should, instead, look at their own inaction first.
The BlueTower is filled with the intoxicating smell of spicy beef, as I've had a batch of my
Texas-style Chili on the stove all night, and it is nearing completion. This time out I was shooting for less fire than usual, because some of this is to be shared with friends who are not spicy food freaks like MrsBlue and I, but I think I have failed miserably in this regard. I used just seven peppers for six-plus pounds of meat, but three of them were yellow habaneros, and one was a red hot chili pepper to go along with three large jalapenos, and at this point it seems as hot as it ever turns out, even though I would usually use more than twice as many peppers for just a little more meat. We'll see how this turns out, but I may just need to end up making another batch with even more capsicum restraint.
