New MicroVolts Closed Beta

Rock Hippo Productions announces a new closed beta update for MicroVolts adding new features based on player feedback to this cartoony third-person shooter. Word is: "The closed beta update will introduce several new features implemented as a direct result of player feedback and include a new 'Chess' map now open to all modes, not just close combat, which gives another option for players who love small maps and fast-paced action. Gameplay additions will include ammo drops for defeated enemies along with system improvements and weapons balancing."

Armada 2526 Patches

Iceberg Interactive announces the release of new patches for the English and German editions of Armada 2526, the 4X space strategy game. Here's the deal: "New features that have been added to the game are the ability to randomly choose factions when setting up a custom game and ‘The Gray Order’, a new race and faction with the ability to convert other races to their own as well as convert populations on planets they don’t own by infecting them with a special virus. On top of this, eight new ship models have been added for The Gray Order. Additionally, the patch includes various minor changes and bug fixes. The German patch also contains fixes and changes related to the German localization. For more information, please read the full patch notes."

Out of the Blue

This weekend is a "bye" weekend for the Giants, so they have off. I am not a fan of the week off at all, and it just brings to mind the talk about the possibility the NFL will add another two games to the regular season and an additional bye, which I don't think I'm in favor of either. If it were up to me I would drop two preseason games and also drop the bye altogether. If the commissioner's job ever comes open, this will be my campaign platform. Vote Blue!
