An update to the 2K Forums by 2K Elizabeth tells us the DLC previously thought to be cancelled for the PC edition of BioShock 2 will be coming to the Windows variant of 2K's waterlogged shooter sequel after all (thanks joao via Rock, Paper, Shotgun). Word is to expect the PC edition of Protector Trials in December and the PC edition of Minerva's Den at some point after that: We are a company of gamers making awesome experiences for gamers - and given the conversations we've had over the past two weeks, we've decided to go back and finish the PC patch and Protector Trials. Currently, we are patching the final bugs in these two pieces of content and then will submit everything to certification. The cert process can take anywhere up to four weeks, but as we hit major milestones (passing cert or otherwise included) I'll tell you guys. We are projecting that the patch and the Protector Trials will be ready to cert in December and I'm happy to announce that they will be available free to the community.
When we stopped development on Minerva's Den, it was not in a workable state and needed significantly more dev time to complete. As of now, we are not certain how much longer it would take to complete the project to our standards, but we have reallocated resources to work on completing the project so PC gamers can have this experience in Rapture along with 360 and PS3 owners.
Gearbox Software sends along details on an upcoming version 1.41 patch for Borderlands they say should be released next month for both the Windows and Xbox 360 editions of the role-playing shooter. Here are some of the planned changes:
- Level cap increase of 8 levels
- That means that all Borderlands players will now be able to achieve a new maximum level of 58.
- Owners of The Secret Armory of General Knoxx can achieve an increase to a maximum level of 69.
- End game players that have completed play-through #2 will see enemies scale to the new levels up to the new level cap.
- That means that if you’ve completed everything, you can play through the game again and again at a challenging level in order to find better and better loot.
- Item drops (with the exception of COM Decks) will also scale with higher level enemies to the new level cap.
That means that this Title Update features the highest level weapons to date.
- Other fixes, including DLC4 Achievement/Trophy glitches that have affected some users will be corrected to properly award players for obtaining these achievements no matter which order they were completed in.

The Online Mode, the World Cup Mode, the match prognosis and other full game elements are not available, as well as simulation and various 3D areas like the stadium editor or the team control (action mode) feature. The Diamond edition comes complete with three additional campaign modules to make your gaming experience last even longer. TIME - Violent Video Games- Protected by the First Amendment.
But the courts have so far rightly refused to do this. Indecency law, after all, has become a mess of late. The puritanical censors at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) have been running amok for the past few years, imposing fines on broadcasters for airing off-color language — all in the name of "protecting the children." (One example: the FCC fined a small public television station in San Mateo, Calif., $15,000 for airing Martin Scorsese's acclaimed documentary The Blues, which had musicians using raunchy language.) It is scary to think what the FCC censors would do with the power to crack down on people who put out images they regard as too violent.
It was 106 years ago today that the New York City subway opened for business, which is probably also marks the first day someone peed on a platform. I kid, but the subway has actually been nicely rehabilitated over the years, and for some time now has been a clean, well-run system, especially considering it serves well over four million passengers a day.
