Imagine you are in a bar and someone is making a really weird analogy about a car crash and Duke Nukem. Imagine no more, as that is how the first of four NSFW clips on
GamePron kicks off. The videos were shot in the Mana Bar, the Australian stop on Randy Pitchford's and Steve Gibson's tour to tell the world the story of how Gearbox revived the
Duke Nukem Forever project. Most of the four clips comprise a Q&A session conducted by acerbic reviewer/bar owner Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw. Perhaps most interesting is the concluding question, where Randy says that none of the content in the shipping version of the game will be more than about four years old, meaning the only remnants of the first eight years of the game's development are concepts.
VG247 has word from BlizzCon on Blizzard's next MMOG, a mysterious project which is known to be in development, though the only detail we have at this point is that it will be based on a new intellectual property. It seems this mystery will continue for a while longer, as Blizzard’s Rob Pardo tells GameTrailers' Geoff Keighley that while prototypes for the game are being played with by a 50-person development team, it is unlikely that they will be making any announcements for the project before 2012.
Well, my plan to create some Crispy Cornell Chicken is in jeopardy, as MrsBlue is determined to visit a local BBQ shack we have finally pinned down. We'd seen this place in passing in a quiet area about 15 miles north of us a couple of times in the past, but it was only the last time we were in the vicinity did I concretely pin down how to find it again. The reviews we've seen suggest this place seems transplanted directly from the heart of Texas, and we have high hopes it will live up to the raves. And I'm trying hard not to take it personally that this is winning out over my own cooking.
