F.E.A.R. 3 Delayed?

F.E.A.R. 3 may have suffered a delay, if the occasionally accurate listings of online retailers are to be trusted. The release of the horror-themed shooter sequel was announced for this fall, but now listings on places such as Gamestop.com show the game for release next year. This was noticed by Big Download, who have not received a response yet from WBIE to their inquiry about this.

ORION: Prelude Announced

The Orion Project Website announces ORION: Prelude, saying what was once planned as a Half-Life 2 modification is now a commercial game targeting Windows, Xbox LIVE Arcade, and Playstation Network. They announce the formation of Spiral Game Studios and the launch of the company's official website, and here's word on their commercial debut: "ORION: Prelude is a fast-paced Sci-Fi First-Person-Shooter. It features a retro-vibe, addictive gameplay and an insane amount of features and content. ORION: Prelude pays homage to other classics that we grew up on that entertained us as gamers as well as inspired us as developers. You will see inspiration from classics such as the Unreal Tournament series, Quake 2 CTF, Starsiege: Tribes, early Counter-Strike betas and plenty of our own unique takes and twists in the design and mechanics. With only a first glance at ORION: Prelude, you will know that this is a game being made by gamers." Thanks Ant via Planet Half-Life.

Out of the Blue

We had a great time with our visiting friends yesterday. The grilling went well too, with a menu consisting of grilled veggies, buffalo wings, chicken breasts, and a rack of baby back ribs. The ribs were intimidating, as I've only tried them once before; an ambitious attempt at smoking which proved pretty disastrous. This time I just rubbed them with some spices and grilled them with some indirect heat at about 325 degrees for a little under an hour and they came out great. It didn't hurt that they were very meaty ribs, which gave some margin for error, but it was very nice to have a success with something I felt was very difficult to get right.
