Interstellar Marines Audio

The Interstellar Marines Website has an article on the audio in Zero Point Software's upcoming first-person shooter, discussing the attention they have paid to reverb and creating proper echo effects for the game using the Unity engine, which does not have any native reverb support. They also offer a (direct) link to download the main theme from their recent Running Man demo. Thanks joao.

GoGamer & SHMUP Sale

GoGamer's 4th of July 48 Hour Madness offers scads of games on sale, following a topical cookout theme. Included are Battlefield: Bad Company 2 for 30% off and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for 33% off. Thanks TheWeaponeer. Speaking of sales, indie side-scrolling shooter SHMUP is on sale over the extended weekend for all of $1.49 USD. A playable demo is available if you don't want to risk that kind of cash indiscriminately.

Rock, Paper, Shotgun - Rules For Games- Do & Don’t #1. Thanks Morris.
Don’t: leave diary entries by one person scattered over miles of corridors, buildings and countries. That’s not how a diary works. A diary tends to be all in one place. Most people, when journaling their lives, don’t tend to scribble it out on the nearest scrap of paper and then leave it wherever the wrote it. Because that would be utterly insane.
