Quest Online Sues David Allen

Quest Online announces it has filed a lawsuit against former managing member David Allen over circumstances surrounding development of Alganon, their subscription-free MMORPG. They refer to this as a counter-suit, as Allen apparently sued Quest Online back in March. Word is: "Alganon, the company's flagship product, is a game that the investors had originally invested almost $4M to develop and which ended up being released in an incomplete and exceptionally faulty state in December 2009 under Allen's leadership. That action resulted in the game and company generating a lot of bad press for the company as well as the game." The release goes on to praise the efforts of Derek Smart, their new president, in getting the game back on track, saying he has been added as a managing member of the LLC. As might be expected, Derek Smart's blog has further commentary on this situation from the outspoken developer.

They mention two unannounced titles, of one saying: "The official announcement of this game will be coming next week, so stay tuned. We'll give you a hint. It involves Men." They then proceed to let the cat out of the bag by posting a batch of Men of War: Vietnam screenshots, indicating Best Way's real-time strategy series will be leaving World War II behind for a foray into the jungles of Southeast Asia.

Here's a bit:

Launching this fall across North America and Europe, with Codemasters operating the game free-to-play in Europe, LOTRO will introduce Turbine’s innovative new pricing model that allows players to download the game and play for free, purchase expansions, quest packs, items, and account services a la carte from the new LOTRO Store, or join the VIP program to get unlimited access to all of the game’s content for one low price. DigitalMindSoft Steamed at Steam

DigitalMindSoft Managing Director Chris Kramer expressed frustration with the Steam patching procedure at 1C Company's "Prague'N'Play event," describing how this has impacted those playing Men of War, reports Strategy Informer. "For some reason Steam users are being left out and we don't know why," he said. "We don't know why Steam is taking so long to update its version of the game - it's actually very annoying and very disappointing for us as we see our game having so many problems that we're unable to do anything about."
