BeyondUnreal notes that the
promised new issue of
Game Informer magazine is now in the hands of some readers, offering the first preview of
Bulletstorm, the upcoming first-person shooter from Polish developer People Can Fly. They note a location where scans of the article can be found, for now at least, and offer this synopsis: "Bulletstorm looks to be a purely action first-person-shooter with a hero who thrives on making an absolutely bloody mess of his foes. Using an assortment of firearms and his 'leash', protagonist Grayson Hunt puts the hurtin' on the bad guys with a skill-point incentive given for taking them out in ever more creative ways. Spend those skill points to upgrade your gear."
Free DLC for
Split/Second is being offered to customers who preorder the upcoming racing game from
Play.com, reports
MCV, saying that the offer was revealed through an ad in the latest copy of Edge, but it is not yet listed on the website of the U.K. e-tailer. They say the ad refers to the "first DLC pack," implying more content for the racing game from Disney's Black Rock Studios will be released down the road. They speculate the DLC "is likely to contain new cars, tracks and possibly set-piece attacks."

We went to see comedian Susie Essman perform live last night, as she was performing near some friends, so we made an evening out of it. I have occasionally marveled at how funny Curb Your Enthusiasm is considering the show is not scripted, but seeing just how sharp she is at improvising in person helps understand how the show's gifted cast is clearly an important part of the formula as well as Larry David's comic genius in creating the storylines.
R.I.P.:
'Designing Women' actress Dixie Carter dies at 70. Thanks Mike Martinez.
