The Sigma
Team Company now offers online sales of Zombie Shooter 2, which has
as self-explanatory a title as you can hope for (thanks Gamer's Hell). The release is
accompanied by a playable demo, though it's not clear if this is the same demo

screen, never letting you rest, even for a minute.
Imagine yourself coming to visit an unknown city and seeing it almost ruined,
with all the citizens turned into zombies. What will you do? Call for help,
orzanize a large-scale rescue campaign or... Try to dig your way out of the
situation, find out what happened and use your last chance to save the person
you love!

SCEA has
filed
a trademark registration for Sorcery, reports
superannuation,
with the TM intended for games and the operation of online games. They point out
that Sony's San Diego Studio cancelled
a project
called Sorcery a couple of years into development, but since that was over a
decade ago, this is likely unrelated to that project.

The Diablo III interview Part III on Diii.net continues to milk a
conversation with Jay Wilson about Diablo III. This short installment
covers the items in Blizzard's action/RPG sequel, and Jay confirms new item
types will be included, though he refuses to go into further detail. Other
topics include the return of skill runes, that unique items and sets from the
first two Diablo games will likely return, and how the red outline targeting
system is "still in and it’s not going anywhere."
Infinity Ward talks Matchmaking in Australia on Games On Net is a
conversation with Todd Alderman about Modern Warfare 2 that actually took
place in Los Angeles, the Australia reference is their focus on matchmaking
issues down under where the sparser population can make finding other gamers
difficult. They discuss various improvements being made to matchmaking in the
military shooter sequel, as well as other elements to make online play, such as
the ability to mute players in-game, the possibility of video sharing, and the
possibility of releasing a PC dedicated server to host Xbox 360 games.
PlayStation University - Sony: The Death of Consumer Loyalty.
When we flip the table and watch how Sony has handled their entire
console this generation, all you ultimately see from the consumer loyalty
perspective is utter failure and death. One of the key components to the
lack of consumer loyalty is the way that Sony conducts their warranty
process in general. Not only is the consumer expected to keep their receipt
for the entire year, but if they happen to misplace it, they’ll be hit with
a $160 repair fee just to get their console fixed. I realize this is a
precaution and a verification process to make sure the consoles being sent
in are legitimately under warranty, however, this same practice and
requirement was required when the console had only been launched for six
months. That’s correct, if your console broke in March 2007, Sony would
still require a receipt to prove you bought the console within the last
year. Ridiculous? I agree.
- Brink on
Bethesda Blog. Brink Developer Diary #2 — Olivier Leonardi.
On this day in 1938 The Munich Agreement was signed, granting the Sudetenland to
Nazi Germany, and assuring us "peace in our time." On the more successful side,
on this date in 1967 the Outer Space Treaty ("Treaty on Principles Governing the
Activities of States in the Exploration and Use of Outer Space, including the
Moon and Other Celestial Bodies") went into effect, and as far as we know, has
been honored ever since (whew!).
