gaming portfolio and have been approached about making some of dad's old games
relevant in todays gaming world with updated graphics and playability. It looks
like M.U.L.E. is going to be the first one out of the gate. We're hoping for a
revamped internet version late this summer. Update: Apparently
this was
noted some time ago, but not here. Thanks Rhialto.

Massively reports the latest entertaining intrigues to come out of the
ruthless gameplay of EVE Online, CCP's sci-fi MMORPG. It seems a player
elected to the Council
of Stellar Management took advantage of the information about upcoming
changes to which members of the council are privy to engage in some insider
trading. This involved as much as 5 billion of the game's ISK, and as a result,
the player has resigned, and further his accounts have been banned, as this
falls outside of the skullduggery the game celebrates, and is a violation of the
game's EULA.
Today is the day for the release of the Beatles: Rock Band and the remastered
albums. I'll pick up the game, that's a no-brainer, but I wonder if the albums
will be a temptation too. We have most of the Beatles catalog on disc already,
and were never struck by any audio shortcomings, but it will be interesting
hearing the remastered versions. I'm sort of fascinated by the authenticity of
the mono versions, but am probably not enough of a purist to go that route.
Today is also the tenth anniversary of the launch of the Sega Dreamcast in North
America... this is one of the few such anniversaries that seems short compared
with my recollection: the Dreamcast was discontinued so long ago it seems like
it must have launched two decades ago, rather than one.
