It looks like the "Meet the Spy" video for
Team Fortress 2 has been
leaked, which is probably the work of spies. The clip is available on the
YouTube for your
illicit viewing pleasure. Thanks S.E.A.L.
The
BlizzCon 2009 Website has
the not unexpected word that yesterday's initial round of tickets for the August
gaming convention is sold out, with the next batch to go on sale on May
30:
The initial allotment of tickets for
BlizzCon 2009 has now been sold
out. If you weren’t able to get tickets this time, you’ll have a second chance
on Saturday, May 30, as another batch will go on sale then. Coverage of the
gaming festival will also be offered by DIRECTV as a
Pay Per View
event, available both via satellite and Internet stream.
3000AD now offers a free version 2.0 upgrade for
Universal Combat
Collector's Edition that incorporates the niche space combat with the engine
improvements from
Echo Squad SE. Also, the updated version of the game is
now for sale, and can be found on
the 3000AD sales page. The
Version Control
File outlines what's changed.
The weather turned out to be more cooperative than anticipated yesterday, and
our cookout was not in danger of a rainout. In the way the world works that
is sometimes mistaken for irony, it turns out a rainstorm could have averted the
mini-disaster we suffered along the way. Our nieces love the dogs, and the dogs
love them back, so eventually lobbying started for the girls to take the dogs
for a walk. It was obvious the two children and their mom could not handle both
beasts, so we decided they should walk the Gunnar-man, who was not going to poo
along the way (Hudson the wonder dog manages to leave a present on almost every
walk in the spirit of not pooping where she eats), and he was not going to want
to get into any dogfights along the way, the way our feisty Airedale might. The
bad news is that neither dog appreciated this arrangement, with Hudson crying as
Gunnar was dragged off, and Gunnar requiring to be, well, dragged off. Gunnar's
unwillingness to proceed caused the walk to be quickly aborted, but he was so
worked up by the time they returned that he burst through the door, managing to
pull our sister-in-law's hand into the doorframe by the leash. One trip
to the Emergency Room later, she has a splint on her broken pinkie, and the
possibility that she will need surgery for a proper repair. Everyone feels just
awful about this except Gunnar, who doesn't know what happened, and possibly
MrsEgo, who seemed exceptionally calm and good natured about the whole episode
from beginning to end.
