EW.com
has a trailer from
Star Wars: The Clone Wars -- Republic Heroes, a Star
Wars game based on the animated Clone Wars series that will offer the chance to
play as characters including Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, and
more. The trailer includes a Yoda (Fauxda?) voice-over and concludes with a
September 15, 2009 release date (thanks
Kotaku
and The Weaponeer). Several target platforms are listed, including an indication
that this is one of the previously unannounced titles that will offer Games for
Windows LIVE support.
Some alleged
Duke Nukem Forever footage was available for a while on
Liquidmesh 3D, the website of 3D
artist/animator Bryan Brewer, but the page and the video linked on YouTube soon
disappeared. Make your own analogy about closing the barn door after the horse
has escaped, though, because the footage is now available on places like
GameTrailers
and
Primotech, offering a look at concept animations, in game footage, and even
some virtual boobs from the erstwhile shooter sequel. Also, there's
an article on
Duke4.net with a collection of tidbits in an attempt to create a timeline
for the closure of 3DRealms (thanks
Voodoo Extreme), though this is collected from various unverified internet
postings, so it all should probably be placed under the heading of rumor and
hearsay for the time being.
Eight Virtues in a Duffel Bag- The Richard Garriott Interview, Part II on Crispy
Gamer concludes this conversation with the famed RPG designer also known as

series. They also have what they are calling
The Richard Garriott Interview Bonus Material, which includes some of the
questions about his current plans and the
NCsoft lawsuit that
didn't fit in with their focus on Ultima.
Happy Mother's Day! This is an upbeat occasion for me personally, as I find it
has me thinking a lot about just how great my mom was. I still miss her every
day, but I find this occasion to be refreshingly positive.
