inCrysis reports three new trademarks registered by Crytek, which may offer
clues about future game plans at the German developer. The three trademarks are
GFACE, CARVATAR, and KINGDOMS, and they help get our speculative wheels in
motion by questioning whether CARVATAR has to do with their partnership with
a major German
car maker or whether GFACE relates to Crytek's other
recently
registered trademark of WARFACE.
Big Download adds their perspective to
reports that Blizzard
owns the rights to the
Redneck Rampage series, suggesting this is the
result of the bundling of Vivendi's game properties when Activison
bought them up, rather than an indication of new game plans.
2K Sports's MLB 2K9 Website
now offers a new patch to update the PC edition of this sports simulation to
version 1.1. The new patch is a 39 MB download, but contains no read me or other
indications of what it does. Thanks Tony.
EGOSOFT now
offers downloads of a new patch for
X3: Terran Conflict to bring the
European editions of the space combat sequel to the same version 2.0 as
the most recent patch for the US edition. Word is: "This update,
which has undergone more widespread testing than is normally the case, features
not only an extension to the original Terran Conflict story, but also a new ship
variation, new sectors to explore, Terran stations to build and much more
adventure!" There is also a note about an error with the initial release of the
patch, so there is now a version 2.0a update correcting this. Users who managed
to get the first version of the patch should take care to ensure they have the
latest version. Downloads are mirrored on
The Patches Scrolls.
New patches are now available for
Crusaders: Thy Kingdom Come, updating
the English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish editions of Neocore's RTS
game set during the Crusades. The patches are actually few weeks old, but have
just been uncovered by
The
Patches Scrolls.
Happy birthday to our younger niece, who turns four years old today. We headed
north to visit the Ego clan to celebrate the occasion, and a fine old time was
had by all. WalterEgo and I even worked a bit on our future as the Partridge
Family, as my brother and I teamed up with his older daughter and the younger
Smurf to play a little cross-generational Rock Band. You really can't appreciate
the mature lyrics of a song like Chop Suey until you've heard it sung by an 8
year-old.
