Grand Theft Auto IV Patch

A new patch for Grand Theft Auto IV updated the Games for Windows edition of Rockstar's open-world action game to version 1.0.3.0. The Patches Scrolls have the patch notes for the new version, outlining bug fixes, physics optimizations, fixes for the controls scheme (including the removal of remapping restrictions), ways of addressing some multiplayer exploits, and more. The download is available from Grand Theft Auto IV Website and mirrored on The Patches Scrolls.

Warcraft III Patches

New patches are now available for Warcraft III updating either the Reign of Chaos or The Frozen Throne to version 1.23a. The patches surface on Friday, but still haven't appeared on the Warcraft III Website or other official sources. Downloads of the Reign of Chaos patch are available from ActionTrip, AtomicGamer, FileFront, and The Patches Scrolls. The Frozen Throne patch is located on ActionTrip, AtomicGamer, FileFront, and The Patches Scrolls.

Gothic 3 Community Patch

A new community patch for Gothic 3 brings the RPG sequel from Piranha Bytes to an unofficial version 1.7. The full change list is outlined in a post on The Patches Scrolls Forums, and the download is available from Gamer's Hell and The Patches Scrolls.

Call of Duty: World at War Linux Server

Ryan Gordon's .plan File reveals that a new version 1.3 Linux dedicated server is available for Call of Duty: World at War:

I forgot to mention this before. There's a Linux dedicated server. You'll need a retail copy of the game for the data (your Steam install should work), and this package, which patches any version of the game into a 1.3 Linux server:

Out of the Blue

An interesting thing I learned from my new G9 mouse with the weights is how unnecessary weights are in a mouse, for myself, at least. I assumed at first that heavy would be better, but quickly found loading it with weight actually caused me wrist and hand pain, and further experimentation proved that I was happiest with no weights whatsoever, so maybe I need to look into filling this thing with helium.
