Resident Evil 5 PC? has further indications from Capcom that a PC edition of Resident Evil 5 is eventually coming, which was seemingly confirmed earlier this year by CD Projekt. The new report quotes "Svensson " (presumably Capcom's Christian Svensson) answering a question about PC RE5 saying: "That's a fantastic question. Unfortunately it's one that I can't give you an answer to today. But stay tuned." When asked if that meant there was hope, he answered "Potentially." The article goes on to outline Capcom's plans for a number of PC releases over the coming year.

Burnout Paradise to Steam

IslandPete's Twitter Feed has word from the Criterion Games producer that the PC edition of Burnout Paradise is coming to Valve's Steam service. This has inspired Operation Burnout to report that the vehicle DLC for the console editions will be released to PC gamers via Steam as well, but the Twitter update doesn't actually say that is planned.

Simon the Sorcerer 5 Announced

The Games Company announces Simon the Sorcerer 5, the next installment in this point-and-click adventure series (thanks Gamer's Hell). The game is due this summer, and here's a bit from the announcement:

In its fifth Simon the Sorcerer Adventure TGC’s inhouse Development Studio Silver Style Entertainment, creators of the critically acclaimed predecessor provides its latest Simon Adventure with an innovative Cel-Shading technology, creating a unique, modern, comic-like look while providing gamers with a large diversity of ways to solve puzzles throughout the game. As the story unfolds, Simon is able to approach various situations on a nasty, brutal or even friendly way, which is then taken into a personality profile at the end of the game. In addition, multiple different ending sequences encourage the player to play through the game multiple times. Adventure-Beginners but also Adventure-Cracks will consider the integrated hint system helpful. By the click of a button, the game displays a list of Simon’s tasks, as well as their status and offers three levels of hints. All in all, the times in which you were desperately looking for the red fibre in the game, are now past thanks to „Simon the Sorcerer 5“.

In a story related to the one above, announces a weekend promotion on their Simon the Sorcerer Pack, which includes Simon the Sorcerer, Simon the Sorcerer 2, and Simon the Sorcerer 3D, all bundled for $14.97. They also offer discounts on individual titles in the series as long as this means you will have purchased all three titles from CD Project's DRM-free marketplace.

Immortal Cities: Nile Online Launches

Immortal Cities: Nile Online is now out of beta testing, offering a free browser-based city-building strategy game from Tilted Mill Entertainment. Here's the deal:

Team Fortress 2 Update

Steam News has word another new update is now available for Team Fortress 2. The new version corrects some of the jumping and ducking tweaks in the previous patch and adding a new variable that removes all such constraints for things like rocket jump challenge servers. There are also two new automatic updates for the Steam client itself, outlined here and here.

NeoSteam EU Closed Beta

The official Neo Steam Website announces closed beta testing is underway for the European edition of this fantasy/steampunk-themed MMORPG. Users can register their interest, though for now they are limiting the number of testers being allowed into their virtual world, which will be subscription-free. Word is: "The first registered players may now delve into a unique world which is torn apart by an epic struggle between two rivaling factions, the Republic of Rogwel, with its advanced technology, and the Elerd Kingdom, with its powerful magic."

Fallen Earth Interview

The Fallen Earth interview on The MMO Gamer talks with writer and designer Wes Platt of Fallen Earth, LLC about Fallen Earth, their eponymous MMORPG that's currently in closed beta testing. Topics include their experience with the Icarus Tool Suite, the game's post-apocalyptic setting, the setting in the southwest US, whether the game will be accessible enough for casual players, factions, clans, graphical improvements, compensating for lag for the game's shooter-style combat, and more.

Priston Tale 2 Movie

The Priston Tale 2 Website now features a new trailer from Wicked Interactive's upcoming MMORPG sequel. Word is: "The trailer depicts the invigorating action and feel of the sequel to the popular Priston Tale. The trailer highlights the epic in-game environments, showing off the combat and electrifying action-oriented gameplay." The clip is mirrored on AtomicGamer, FileFront, and Gamer's Hell.

CID The Dummy Trailer

A new CID The Dummy trailer shows off the upcoming platformer starring a crash test dummy. The "day with CID" trailer shows off the wanton destruction that's apparently part of CID's lifestyle. The clip is posted on AtomicGamer, FileFront. and Gamer's Hell.

FLOCK Trailer

A "seasons" trailer from FLOCK shows off the four seasons in FLOCK, as well as some nighttime play in Capcom's upcoming flocking game. The clip is available on AtomicGamer and FileFront.
