The
Strike Fighters 2 Website
now offers digital distribution of
Strike Fighters 2, a new version of
Third Wire Productions' combat flight simulator (thanks Jim). The new version is
fully compatible with Windows Vista, and here's word on gameplay:
Player
flyable aircraft include some of the most legendary fighters from the early jet
age, including F-100D Super Sabre, A-4 Skyhawk, and F-4 Phantom II.
Campaigns feature high-flying combat action over fictional Middle Eastern sands.
Join the United States Air Force, Navy, Marines, or a special operations
Mercenary unit, and engage in blood-draining, G-pulling, action-packed dogfights
against the enemy MiGs!
GamePolitics has word that
disbarred attorney Jack Thompson is
taking his case to the highest court in the land, as Supreme Court Justice
Clarence Thomas has
granted an
extension to file a
petition for a writ of certiorari with the United States Supreme Court, so
the embattled anti-gaming activist now has through mid-February to submit such a
filing. This does not, however, mean his case is certain to be heard; the
article states the SCOTUS only hears about one percent of the 10,000 cases
presented to them each year.
I had a request from a reader for the recipe for the Hoppin' John I mentioned
the other day; it's a pretty simple dish and there are plenty of recipes online,
but for the record, MrsBlue used
this
recipe on Epicurious.com.
Ours had the ham hock like it says there, though according to what I've read,
bacon is more traditional. MrsBlue also says she used a bit more onion and red
pepper than they recommend, but part of the joy of doing one's own cooking is
customizing the seasoning.
R.I.P.:
Actors' son Jett Travolta dies at 16.
