Solium Infernum Interview

The Solium Infernum Interview on Tacticular Cancer chats with some folks at Cryptic Comet about Solium Infernum, their upcoming strategy game set in Hell, the surprisingly popular game locale. In this case you aren't an avenging angel, space marine, or other misplaced interloper, however, you are a denizen yourself, looking to climb (or is it descend?) your career ladder: "Solium Infernum is a grand strategy game set in the Infernal Pit a.k.a Hell. The basic premise is that the Infernal Throne (Solium Infernum is the Latin term) sits empty and you play an Archfiend vying for it. You do this by amassing the most Prestige Points by the time the Infernal Conclave convenes to select the next ruler of Hell. You can gain prestige points in a number of different ways. The most obvious way is to claim strategic points on the board called Places of Power that dot the landscape of Hell. But you can also get points by performing unholy rituals, demanding tribute from and insulting your opponents and eventually claiming Vendetta or Blood Feud and sending your legions out to punish the other pretenders to the throne."

Urban Legions is now live, offering a web-based superhero-themed role-playing game. Details on the game and how it operates are on this information page, but if you are interested in checking it to, you can do so for free, as explained here: "The general public is able to play up to 20 turns free per day, and may purchase additional turns via subscription or by blocks of turns. A public forum for help and discussion of the game is also available via the Urban Legions website. To experience Urban Legions yourself, go to UrbanLegions.net and sign up for your free account today."

Kingdom Under Fire II Website

The official Kingdom Under Fire II Website is live, so accept no unofficial substitutes for this home to Blueside's upcoming multiplatform sequel that will add some manner of MMO gameplay to the action/real-time strategy gameplay of the Kingdom Under Fire series (thanks Gamer's Hell). The site offers screenshots, wallpapers, concept art, and some game information, including this bullet list of game features:

    • A true Action RTS inheritor of the world acclaimed Kingdom Under Fire series, which continues a saga of Bersian heroes on Kingdom Under Fire universe.
    • Massively Multiplayer Online game where thousands of gamers can co-play and write their own epic poetry of war.
    • Much empowered real-time strategy game system with highly intense action and intuitive control while succeeding all the great merits of previous versions.
    • Unprecedentedly massive scale of castle siege mode to deliver realistic mediaeval battle onto your nose.
    • Deeper and richer campaign mode than that of "Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders"
    • Competition and War among 3 factions over the domination of Bersia continent; Human Alliance, Dark Legion and a new mystery force.
