The demo is an 836 MB download, available on AtomicGamer, FanGaming, FileFront, and Gamer's Hell. About the only German word we know is schadenfreude, which means we are taking joy at the prospect of someone trying to play this who does not sprechen Sie Deutsches.

Red 5 Interview

Red 5's Stealthy Plans, Upcoming MMO on Gamasutra is a Q&A with a couple of the ex-Blizzard execs at Red 5 Studios who have recently changed jobs; former CEO Mark Kern, who is now Red 5's Board chairman and chief creative officer and new CEO Michael Weingartner, who was previously the company's Engineering VP. They discuss the reasons for this executive shuffle, and probe for details about what Red 5 is up to, mostly running into a wall of secrecy, possibly part of an effort by the startup to avoid flagshipping themselves. They do talk in general terms about their plans and goals, and indicate they may be de-cloaking soon to make an official announcement.

Out of the Blue

Happy Christmas Eve! This should be a quiet occasion around the BlueTower, as we have no particular plans for the day, and have taken care of all our last minute shopping. Our big score of the season was for the Smurfs, as our godkids are getting their first video game system this year; a Wii, and I managed to track down a Wii edition of the Rock Band 2 Special Edition in spite of its scarcity. It will be hard to be bigger heroes than their dad for getting the Wii in the first place, but we expect this will get a pretty good reaction.
