New patches for
Sacred 2: Fallen Angel update Ascaron Entertainment's
action/RPG to version 2.31.0. The new version implements a new in-game options
menu, adds ten new bosses, eight new portals, a new level of detail system,
improves pathing, beefs-up the end bosses, and more. There is a patch for the US
edition on
ActionTrip,
FanGaming, and
Gamer's
Hell. The patch for the UK edition is on
FanGaming and
Gamer's Hell. Finally,
there are also new patches for the German, French, and Italian editions on
Gamer's Hell.
The Electronic Arts UK Community Forums have a couple of updates from DICE
about the long-awaited version 1.5 patch for Battlefield 2. Back in September
EA announced the version 1.50 update for the military shooter
sequel would be delayed to this winter sometime to allow them to address a
couple of exploits. Word is they are looking to release a beta version of the
patch by Christmas: "The beta would be for everyone that wants to install it,
the more people that do the better feedback we get and we don't have an update
1.30 again. That update alone set us on the road of public beta to stop it from
happening in another update. The plan is to get it out before Christmas yes."

MrsBlue broke her cell phone, and with our contract no longer current, it looks
like we'll have to subject ourselves to the ordeal of shopping for a new plan as
well. It doesn't seem right that shopping for mobile phones and plans should
have that same creepy "you're getting ripped-off" air that you get when shopping
for a car. I guess the fact that car shopping has been that way as long an
anyone can remember suggests that this situation with phone deals will not
change anytime soon.
