The EA Store now offers preorders of that Spore: Creepy & Cute Parts Pack
that appeared on
Amazon.com and
Gamestop.com a little over a week ago (
story). There are no
details on content, but the listing seems to confirm the
Spore add-on's
$19.99 price point as well as its November 18 release date. Thanks Mike Martinez and
BlendGames.
WorldOfWar.Net has a tidbit from BlizzCon, where Jay Allen Brack was asked
about indications from World of Warcraft game files that paid character
customization may be coming to Blizzard's MMORPG. After seeming to avoid the
question at first, he eventually confirmed that paid-for character customization
is indeed in the works, though no further details are provided.
The
Joystiq Interview with StarCraft 2 Lead Producer Chris Sigaty discusses the
revelation of plans for StarCraft II 1, StarCraft II 2, and StarCraft II 3 after
they discovered they inadvertently designed three games instead of one
(
story). Their decision to subdivide the game is explained
simply: "We want the ability to tell the story the way we want to." Along the
way Chris confirms that multiplayer will be fully implemented for all three
races upon the release of the first game. Also,
Gametrailers.com has
posted the first minute of the opening cinematic from StarCraft II, or one of
them, or something.
The
Urban Desert Combat Website
now offers the debut release of Urban Desert Combat, an unusual modification for
a modification, as it offers a variation on
Desert Combat, the old school modern
combat modification for Battlefield 1942. Here is the minimalist explanation of
this project: "In a parallel universe America never invaded Afghanistan or Iraq.
Now the fight has come to urban America." Thanks
Ant.
Frans is truly a force to be reckoned with... yesterday he implemented a whole
new library of smilies for the forum, and today he added the ability to format
posts using menu choices, rather than using codes.
