Activision announces Secret Service, a first-person action game due this
year for Windows, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 that puts the player in the role
of a one of a U.S. presidential bodyguard unraveling an assassination
conspiracy.
Here are some screenshots, and word is: "Secret Service takes place on
Inauguration Day in Washington D.C. An extremist assault has been launched
against the capitol - security has been compromised and it is unclear who is
friend or foe. There is no time for negotiation as you are thrust out of the
shadows and into the line of fire in order to protect the nation’s leaders. The
action takes place among famous landmarks and everywhere in between, including
both Marine One and Air Force One."
Steam News has word they
are now accepting preorders for
X3: Terran Conflict,
saying
Steam will be the exclusive online distributor for the space combat
game. Word is: "As with the previous titles in the X series, X3: Terran Conflict
is a single-player space simulation featuring fast-paced first-person space
combat, free-form, open exploration of a huge dynamic universe, and large-scale
management of the player's own intergalactic corporation."

A playable demo for
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa is now available, a
sample of the game that offers the chance to step into the paws of various

A new
Far Cry 2 movie offers another look at Ubisoft's upcoming shooter
sequel. Word is: "Featuring action-packed gameplay, intense gun battles, and
raw, gritty environments, the trailer introduces you to the various villains
players will encounter in the game, as well as more intriguing insight about the

It's been discussed and announced already, but I was still surprised to see the
BlizzCon PPV event on my DirecTV listings yesterday. I am very curious how many
people bought that... I wonder if they will release any figures on how many
viewers that has attracted.
