This press release announces
Culpa Innata 2: Chaos Rising, Momentum AS' sequel to last year's cyberpunk adventure. Culpa Innata 2
features the return of Phoenix Wallis, described as a "young ambitious peace
officer" in the original, and in addition to playing as the now "disillusioned
yet politically naive" Wallis, the player will also take on the role of Anatoly
Pavlov, "the cynical survivor of societal collapse." The game, which does not
yet carry a release date, will feature over 60 NPCs, non-linear gameplay, and
multiple endings. Word is: "Deeply bound by mysterious events, Anatoly and
Phoenix will encounter obstacles far more challenging than ever before, testing
their courage, determination and wits as they seek the truth hidden beneath the
worlds that they know."

Busy Jay Wilson is the subject of
a Q&A on 4players.de as people can't get enough to the Blizzard designers
answers to questions about Diablo III. The whole health orb deal is once again a
major topic of conversation, but they also cover the uncertain status of the
"horadrim" (Horadric) cube, random content, runes, and more. Meanwhile, there's
a video interview with Wilson on PC Games where another German site gets to
ask questions about the project (the interview is in English).
Ragnar Tørnquist On… Dreamfall & Faith on Rock, Paper, Shotgun offers the
third and final part of their Q&A with the Funcom designer. One portion is a
frank discussion of how
Dreamfall turned out: "I don’t agree with you,
but what I do agree with is that the game did not succeed with all the things we
tried to do. Obviously with combat, because we struggled with it, and the way it
ended up was something last-minute, and not how we wanted to do it. Looking back
I would have done it very differently. I would have done it in a more
adventure-type way. In a way that didn’t require reflexes. How you respond is
the most important thing. But I do think the game is better than some people
give it credit for. Obviously the story is the key there, and that’s the thing:
the story has to work, the dialogue has to work, and the characters have to
work. And everything else is gravy."
PC Games is a German site, and most of their clips have German intros but
English answers.
A new
Rise of the Argonauts movie from the Games Convention shows off the
Medusa and her high maintenance hairdo as depicted in Liquid Entertainment's
upcoming action/RPG. The clip is posted on
AtomicGamer and
Gamer's Hell.
A new
LEGO Universe trailer from Leipzig convention is live. Word is: "The video
provides a look at how The LEGO Group is working with its fan community to
create LEGO Universe, and reveals new art images from the game. Viewers will see
footage from a recent event where a group of 49 adult fans – known as LUPs (LEGO
Universe Partners) – came together with the game developers to build content for
the MMOG." The clip is posted on
AtomicGamer,
FileFront,
Gamer's
Hell, and
MyGameTrailers.

There is probably still a little more media from the Games Convention to catch
up with. Hopefully I'll catch up with the rest of it before the flood from Penny
