IncGamers has word that Blizzard Worldwide Invitational attendees have
received their promised invitation to beta test an upcoming Blizzard game, but
that contrary to assumptions, this does not guarantee entrance into the beta
test for
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King (thanks
Ant). They
quote French community manager "Thyvene" as saying:
Attendees of the
Worldwide Invitational 2008 have received a Beta code to participate in a future
phase of Beta testing for Blizzard. Unfortunately, we can not guarantee that the
code gives you access to the Beta for Wrath of the Lich King in particular.
Therefore, to increase your chances of being selected to participate in the
WOTLK's Beta test, we advise you enter the draw held for this phase of Beta
testing, via the account management:

The
StargateTC 2 Website has
the debut release of their Stargate-themed modification for
Half-Life 2
(thanks
Ant and
Planet
Half-Life), calling it a total conversion in the first use of that old
school phrase we can recall in a while. Here's a bit on the project taken from
the FAQ: "SGTC2 will
first get its inspiration from the SG1 show before the 9th season: the war
against Goa'ulds remains the first modding topic of SGTC2, just like SGTC, the
old HL 1 mod. Adding technologies, weapons and characters from Altantis or from
the Ori war is not rejected a priori but, if this add is decided, it will be
applied in future versions of SGTC2. "
We've been gradually working our way through the food left over from last
weekend's cookout. MrsBlue and I have had two dinners of sausage and peppers,
and the pups got to enjoy two meals of ground beef. With the remainder of the
sausages now frozen, we're just a hotdog eating contest away from nothing going
to waste.
Burp!
